Eccentric singer Kelis is taking it to the clubs with her forthcoming LP ‘Fleshtones’, hence is doing the club-rounds to build a buzz ahead of the album’s Summer release. Peep the former Ms. Nas performing her single ‘Acapella’ - which hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Chart recently – at New York’s Club 57 over the weekend.
Let’s just say, I never knew she could split like that!

I can’t see the video because they have it blocked at my job…..but i’ve already been pumping “Acapella” for the past couple of months and i LOVES IT. Kelis is soooooooooo slepted on its a shame. Yeah she’s not the greatest singer but her style and music choices are so good and well put together. I can’t wait to get home to see what she’s giving in this video……….all i have to say is “WORK BITCH!” MEOW!

Hey, I just felt sorry that she had to perform on that itty bitty space with folks getting their drinks as the backdrop to her performance. I even saw a guy texting. I guess that’s what you have to do when you’re trying to start over and test the music out…But yuck, sometimes the underbelly of the bizness, needs to stay there…under the belly. Damn u Youtube!!

OK Kelis, your vocals are getting stronger. She sounded on point. She has a different sounding voice. some like it , some don’t. but i like it and this is one of her best vocal performances. And the vid quality wasn’t even that good. To sound good on something like that is hard to do. Especially when your voice is an acquired taste.
