Earlier today, the singer took to the stage on the Australian version of ‘So You Think You Dance’ to perform…you guessed it…’When Love Takes Over’! Tidbit: With Kelendria’s album as good as finished, the fact she made mentions of Danja, Ne-Yo, Stargate, and Rico Love, indicates their offerings made the final cut. I’m particularly amped as it likely means the previously posted Ne-Yo track ‘Tonight’ will feature.

Look: Kelly never performed this song IN AUSTRALIA before March 2010. It was on #6 in the single charts last year and reached PLATINUM status there, so it’s just fair that the Australian fans get to see her performing this song!
This is IMO the best performance of WLTO I’ve seen (apart from the one I experienced live). Natalie (the host) is right! Australia loves Kelly Rowland.

Kelly did okay on the performance. I wouldn’t call it spectacular like a mid-1980s Whitney Houston performance. It was okay. Sometimes I feel like I am living in a different era when I read comments from people in relation to some of today’s performers and call it the best thing they have ever seen. Generally speaking, performances by today’s standards are just mediocre to okay. Nothing special or with the ‘WOW’ factor. I do think Kelly’s team is paying these blogs to speak constantly about her. Hell, it’s no different than any other celebrity team. It’s call publicity and Kelly is trying to cement her status as a viable and profitable solo star on Universal Motown. She know there is no room for mistakes this time and cannot blame anyone if her solo album tanks. Good luck Kelly!

She has been singing that song so much, it’s effortless now! And thats what you want to see, in the beginning I felt like she had to really strain herself to sing it and hit all the right notes but she has been hitting it out of the park as of lately.
