New Song: R. Kelly – ‘Be My #2’ (New Single)

Published: Wednesday 10th Mar 2010 by Sam

Though R. Kelly‘s latest LP ‘Untitled’ seems to have disappeared from the charts with the quickness, the R&B star is still releasing singles from the underrated set – at least here in the UK. Indeed, the next release to be lifted from the album on this side of the pond has been confirmed to be ‘Be My #2’.

The funky, 70s inspired cut is refreshingly unlike anything Kelly has released previously, and  moreover, unlike anything populating the charts at the moment. Yet still, it boasts much in the way of radio-friendliness and could plausibly be another hit for the veteran. Great track.

Hit or Miss?

This song is fantastic. Love the throwback sound, but with the aggressive swagger.

That said, I’m not digging the message of the song.

I love the music and the sound and I am by no means an R. Kelly supporter. Great Job on that. However, the lyrics are very appalling.

This is why p********* are walking the streets and not completing life terms or death. Women and children are the victims of these disgusting people. Why would this site even put this lame up on the board. Did we forget he savagely f*cke* a 14 year old then proceeded to urinate on her as she tried to get dressed. Did we forget he married Aaliyah when she was a minor. This dude needs a psychiatrist, a cell, and a gps for good measure. He is sick, and to think he is still spewing his whack as music is beyond me. Just think, all those years we were jamming to s** me and all that crap, he was writing those songs with visions of young girls. Not, one of the 5M plus adult women who threw themselves at him in his heyday. I think it is sad that our kids have to see these people as artist. Music is dead, has been for awhile. It is almost unsalvagable. Yuk.
