It looks like Brown hasn’t lost a single step. It’s great to see him slowly inching his way back into public favour while he continues to deliver engaging performances like these. Yes he lip-synced the majority of the rendition but he definitely compensated with his dance moves; something that one of his former girlfriends has yet to learn.

@Aunt Jackie, there’s no denying Michael Jackson has lipped his way through performances. However, are we really trying to compare his situation to this situation? Michael was 40 in that clip, Chris is 20. Big difference in age and stamina, as one gets older, naturally.
Now I saw the clip, and Michael did a stellar job at compensating for his lack of vocals in that performance with his typical dance skills and ability. You’re trying to compare that to some 20 year old 2 STEPPING, ARM FLAPPING, HOPPING AND SKIPPING on a stage like some fairy? No. As far as I’m concerned, Michael had every right to lipsynch his performances because he more than made up for his lack of on-stage vocals with his dynamic dance moves, solo, and with a team of backup dancers. You can not say the same thing for Chris Brown, whose backup dancers are always out of place and not together. And ain’t no way Chris could ever do it solo; unless you wanna see what somebody suffering through a major heart attack looks like. And that’s only appropriate for medical school, not a concert.
Michael can SANG, yes. Chris Brown uses autotune in his studio recordings to enhance his voice (not for sound effect efforts, as is the case with other artists), therefore I would hardly say he can sang. He can hold a note – but that’s where it stops. Please, let’s not even compare the two for another second. We don’t want Michael rolling in his grave, now do we?
OHHH MAN. Rihanna is so horrible live. Apparently all the world thinks so considering she sold out Madison Square Garden and Manchester arena both 20,000+ capacity in a day. He may not do the type of dance you (or my grandparents for that matter!) like, but he moves around on stage, does choreographed moves and something other than posing. He can pop, lock, spin, crump and all that crap. Not trying to push the ‘Nuclear Button’ here, but what can Rihanna do as a performer other than pose?
Chris Brown just started using Auto Tune in the studio, but trust that boy can sing. He may sound like he just got his balls lopped off, but he can hit notes without cracking.
He doesn’t stand around and pose on stage, and his background singers don’t out sing him.
Rihanna has a dope, unique voice that sounds great in the studio. Unfortunately, I have never heard a time where she sang live and her voice didn’t crack. Half the time you can barely hear her.

Don’t come at me talking out of the side of your neck, or trying to sound intelligent when you can’t even figure out that ‘Singing’ is something that can be measured. Go look up objective and subjective in the dictionary, Cold Case.
Tone is something that you can like or dislike, or have an opinion about. Not singing on key or any of the other standards by which being able to sing can be measured.

I want to clear a few things up– I am an associate producer here at BET – most people don’t know (unless you are physically at the tapings that began yesterday and end tomorrow) – that it is BET that requires every performer to lip sync there chosen songs for a performance – there is always a live mic so that the artist can have some sort of communication with the live audience – however no one at the events are singing live – this is not just for us at BET but for 85 percent of all television appearances – except for award shows and “live” concerts – so please do not attack Chris or any of the performers.
As for Rhianna – We support all artists in the industry as we do not believe to invade their privacy or engage in getting into their personal lives. THEY HAVE BOTH MOVED ON AND ARE WORKING TO CONTINUE THEIR CAREERS – SO MAYBE PEOPLE SHOULD ALSO MOVE ON AND WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN LIVES AND PROBLEMS THAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE THAT DON’T CONCERN ANYONE OTHER THAN YOURSELVES.

It looks like Rihanna’s career post Chris Brown is still struggling. Her CD sales haven’t been what they were before all the C-Breezey drama went down.
Rihanna is hitting the road for a summer tour featuring Ke$ha. The closest they will be to Charlotte is Atlanta. If you are thinking of buying tickets—you’ll have no issues as ticket sales are bleak.
The only show to sell out was her NYC date at MSG. None of the other 25 shows have sold out. Not to mention that floor and 100 level seats are VERY available in every single city besides NY!

And this is not her first headlining tour she toured in america before with Akon as her headliner. and headlined her gggb tour as well.
