  2. FUTURE April 22, 2010

Go Christina, who said the song was a flop. Debut a 23 on billboard is a big flop right haha. Eat your hearts out Christina haters. X-TINA 4 LIFE JUNE 8

  3. Black April 22, 2010

Yes people the song is still a flop. Not even in top 20.

  4. Aunt Jackie April 22, 2010

    @ Black

    The song JUST debuted.

So quick to say a person is a flop without even giving adequate time to watch the song develop. Now THAT is a comment stickily based on hate.

  5. I and I (yardie style) April 22, 2010

    I can’t wait, love Christina!

  6. Sarah April 22, 2010

Debuting at #23 is very impressive, seeing as how there is no video. But, of course, the song spent time in the top 10 on the US iTunes chart, so it’s position is no surprise. But the song is quickly falling out of the overall US iTunes chart, and if the video doesn’t help like all of Christina’s stans are claiming it would, that would be the end of NMT.

  7. Raffy April 22, 2010

    I CANNOT WAIT!!!

  8. Raffy April 22, 2010

and btw Christina is perfoming on American Idol Finale! cant wait for that 😀

  9. triniboy April 22, 2010

She is also performing on OPRAH and is teaming up with VH1 for Behind the music and Story Tellers…coupled with the Idol finale…so it will be interesting to see how things develop…I loved the way she handled the Gaga comparisons…she cleaverly mentioned (if u read the whole interview) that she did a lot of that stuff first and it was good to see people taking chances with their image now though a lot of people didn’t like it then. I wonder how my other girl: Gaga never made it to Blackwell’s hot list?

  10. RANDOM April 22, 2010

why are they using hype yuck

  11. Leepcd89 April 22, 2010

Not Myself Tonight Is Hot!!! Top 10 Hit…No Video Yet Debut At 23…Can’t Wait Till She Perform It, Promo, Video Premier…Sure Will Boost Not Myself Tonight Into Top 10!!!

  12. U Can’t B Serious? April 22, 2010

This song is straight up Garbage!!! I’m so tired of all these female artist trying to play this “Good Girl Gone Bad” role. That should’ve been their image from the begining of their career. I know with an artist in due time change will come but all this switching it up to this half naked, hooker looking maddness has to stop. These women artist aren’t leaving any imagination to what their working with because everything is almost exposed. Then to top it off these s*** ass volgar songs with these nasty lyrics aren’t making the cut either. I don’t get it! Music sucks right now! Come on ladies please keep it classy! The only artist of “My ERA” right now is Monica. She is so classy! Loves her!

  13. U Can’t B Serious? April 22, 2010

***Correction** The only female artist from “MY ERA” IMO thats keeping it classy is Monica. Loves her!

If yall don’t like Xtina then stop commenting on her damn posts. Its as simple as that.

I’m predicting that this will be one of the top videos to come out this year. The song is flying up the charts. It just debuted and its at 23 already. You idiots do understand that its out of the hot 100 right? That’s excellent. All that shows is that though she has been gone she is still a top artist. People couldn’t and still can’t wait to hear new music from her. I’m going to mark my calendar. I believe thats next week. Can’t wait! By the end of this summer everyone will be Bionic!

    @BLACK –
Excuse me? This song JUST hit the airwaves a few weeks ago, but within a MONTH, its already about to move into the Top 20 on the billboard charts? It normally takes people MONTHS to get to that point. The song has hit written all over it. I can just IMAGINE this blasting in clubs, and as soon as the first few notes blaze, some women against the wall fly to the dance floor with their girls, screaming..”giiiirl. that’s my jam!”

    @UCAN’TBESERIOUS –
I understand what you’re saying, but she isn’t trying to play the ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ role. This isn’t an INSTANT thing where this came from out of nowhere. That argument would have applied to her if you were commenting on the release of her ‘Stripped’ album waaay back in 2003. Christina does what she wants and she always changes up her image. Even back from her ‘Genie in a bottle’ days, we’ve seen that she’s been able to swing from being ‘innocent’ to ‘s***’ in no time at all. Christina is a grown woman and has every right to expose her sexuality.

Then at the same time, I’m so sorry, but if you haven’t noticed….s*** songs are MEANT to be club songs. You can’t dance with someone to the beat of a conservative and soulful ballad. Thats what doesn’t cut it. You have the songs that you prefer that are meant to be heard when you’re by yourself reflecting on memories or when you’re feeling a surge of confidence to change your life up a bit. Then you have club-banger songs that are meant to be sultry, s***, dirty and so on. Not ALL of them are, but they definitely have that pattern in them. The music industry is neatly divided between songs that emphasize the individual (love songs, emotional songs, songs for empowerment, joy) – and songs that are meant to rise to the top and blast in and out of airwaves on account of them being explicit.

And in terms of your ‘era’ – I grew up in that era and the exact same thing that’s going on right now was going on back then. The only difference is that the genres right ‘now’ are suddenly merging and more people are collaborating with one another. Back in the 90’s, women were still portrayed and actively propped themselves up to be s*** and ‘hooker esque’ like you criticize. But at least people seemed much more natural back then, i WILL give you that.

But as for the ‘raunchiness’ –
    its always been that way.

  16. Sarah April 22, 2010

Sorry but if the video doesn’t help the song, I don’t see it going any where.

The only reason why NMT debuted at #23 was because of being in the top 10 on iTunes but the song is horrendously falling off the chart, which isn’t normal for a first single for pop stars in this day and age.

There have been songs without a video that shot to #1 on iTunes without a video, and became #1 hits on the BB Hot 100. Take Britney’s “3” for example. It’s not normal for Christina’s new tune to falling out of the iTunes chart so soon and you stans can keep using the lame excuse about the video not being out yet or how Christina hasn’t done much promo.

Had this been Britney, Rihanna and Beyonce, their songs wouldn’t be just strastically falling off the charts. And they don’t even need videos to debut high. Even Mariah’s “Obsessed” didn’t quickly burn on iTunes and the song was a top 10 hit.

Perhaps people just aren’t feeling NMT in general.

  17. Christian April 22, 2010

I love Christina BUT I’m STILL not feeling this song. I dunno if it’s the production, her voice, etc I JUST can’t pinpoint but I’m just not liking this song AT ALL. Hopefully I’ll like the 2nd single much better.

  18. Dave April 22, 2010

StAY MAD, A DEBUT @ #23 ON BILLBOARD HOT 100 IN EPIC. THE STRONGEST SELLING & HIGHEST OVERALL CHARTING SONGS TAKE LONG AS EVER TO GET THAT FAR, SHE DID IT @ HER DEBUT! EAT IT HATERS, SHE AIN’T GOIN NOWHERE. “BIONIC” 2010 >>>> END.

  19. Ritardna April 22, 2010

LMAO AT PEOPLE SAYING DEBUTING AT 23 HOT IS A SUCESS.
I CAN HELP BUT BRING UP BRITNEY. WHEN BRITNEY’S SONGS DEBUT THEY USUALLY CLIMB UP TO NUMBER 1 STRAIGHT AWAY. TALKING ABOUT FLOP.

  20. Richard April 22, 2010

People were calling Mariah’s “Obsessed” when it debuted on the Hot 100 at #11 (which ended up going Top 10, as well as #1 Rhythmic Top 40). It even managed to debut #6 on digital sales… people were calling it a flop at that time (including Xtina fans).

Even Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, and Britney Spears all had #1 digital debuts, as well as Pink, who’s first single debuted at #4 digitally.

This song may not be a a huge massive flop, but it’s no massive hit in the making either.

  21. desi April 23, 2010

@triniboy that’s because mr. blackwell has been dead already when lady gaga made her debut.
