Ciara‘s hotly anticipated new single ‘Ride’ premièred literally a few moments ago. The Ludacris-assisted cut was produced by hitmakers The-Dream & Tricky Stewart and serves as the first official offering from the singer’s fourth studio album.
After the not-so-great sales of Ms. Harris’ last effort ‘Fantasy Ride’, the question on the lips of many is whether ‘Ride’ packs enough punch to redeem her in the eyes of the masses. Thankfully for the 24 year old, the answer is a loud and resounding ‘YES!’
The gritty mid-tempo reunites Ciara with the edgy sound which captivated many on her earlier material, yet does so while implementing a fresh twist. Hands down, one of her best releases in a long while. Welcome back CiCi!

I like it, it’s nice and glad to hear the dream producing a song that actually sounds different from the rest of the beats he puts out. Again though, not sure how this will fair as a first single… Was it just me or did ciarra sound kinda like christina milian on the track, maybe just because they’ve both got the same kind of soft singing style. I think it’s a really good idea that they released this song first. It’s for the fans that missed her tough urban tracks last era. So no, it probably wont be #1 on the HOT 100, but it’s definitely a winner !
Agrees wit ‘C550J’; exactly what I was thinkin “Like A Surgeon” was a whole LOT better than this tune! IT sounded of more quality and was a true Ciara song. This doesn’t really catch-ON for me. But we already know radio is gon’ play it out. I’ll listen to it no-doubt but it’s not the “best” song for her. Only thing is she hasn’t really had any BAD songs so this might be!!!
