Toni Braxton Performs On ‘Ellen’

Published: Tuesday 27th Apr 2010 by Sam

R&B star Toni Braxton stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show to perform her new single ‘Make My Heart’ earlier today. Check out how Ms. Braxton fared below…

Though Ms. Braxton sounded kinda short of breath for the most part, the performance still gets kudos from yours truly; she gave her all – while singing AND dancing. A few young starlets could take a note or two.

Tidbit: Toni’s new LP ‘Pulse’ hits stores on May 4th

Toni KILLED IT! And she was slightly out of breathe because of the non stop choreo from start to finish she was doing. Cut her some slack! She is not a dancer, but in this you couldn’t tell. That performance was fresh, I don’t know how I feel about that hairstyle when she turns to the side tho, lol. No shade!

I loved how they re created the whole video scene for scene with the choreo pretty much! I didn’t know she had it in here. MC, JLo, Whitney and Janet *80s-90s Divas in their 40s* need to take note!

Woooooo oooooooo oooooo, the performance was off the damn chain….She did a GR8 Job and I’m so happy to see her back to her game….She is 1 of the Worlds Biggest singers and for her to go through so much in the past yrs and to be looking and sounding Oh soo fresh is just stunning…I Love her to the bone and I cannot wait till next week when the album drops…..Its such a shame taht these so called singers like Rhianna and other wannabe Diva’s are getting so much air play and the real Singers like Braxton are just looked upon slightly…Out of Whitney and Phoney Mariah’s comebacks Toni is the real deal bcuz she is just TONI BRAXTON…SWEET,S***,SULRTY,GENEROUS AND 1 OF A KIND……..Let’s put Our Diva back on top of the charts like she use to dominate back in the Good Ol’dayz of R&B music…..Pick up PULSE next week may the 4th Ya’ll=-)

She did her thing. I see Gaga has really opened the door for people to be creative and fearless and not care how people feel about it. Nothing is safe anymore. People are letting loose.

While I love Toni and hope her CD does well ( I will actually BUY this one), her performance left a little to be desired. Great energy, great song but she should really study those who do a great job of mixing the live and pre-recorded vocal to maximize the choreography. And before anyone says anything, effective use of pre-recorded vocals DOES NOT diminish talent or the ability to entertain.

Unlike Whitney, I think Toni should perform everywhere she can to get those muscles warmed-up. She’s been on Broadway, in Vegas and on the arena stage…I know she can do this.

I hope radio is fair to the single……

What is the white guy’s name? He has on the green hat.

  21. Ben April 27, 2010

She did good. Better than the Wendy Williams performance. She didn’t lipsync this time. Can tell the choreography thing is still something she is getting used to, but not bad. But hopefully she will concentrate more on her other single-“Hands Tied.” I like that one much better.
