I actually loved it! (and this is no joking).
I see so many hating on her, but if it was a guy doing a similar song, every excuse possible would be given – “Oh he’s just being a guy”, “Oh he’s a player player” and all that other BS, and everyone would manage to turn it around and say the girls in the guy’s video was a you know what. Unbelieveable! (Don’t agree with me, think Usher – Confessions CD “Losted in the sauce… Baby might be mine”. He sings of the same stuff she did in this video, and not just on that song. Don’t worry, I’ll give you some time to think about it….
Then all these rappers, hip-hop artists, rockers, etc, they do the same stuff! Seems part of the problem is that everyone’s used to her being goodie goodie for Disney’s paycheck, but she’s grown up!
And must we not forget Britney Spears being a “slave for you”. Did everyone complain about her being submissive to a man or dancing around the stage with little clothes and a big a$$ snake?? Absolutely not! Her CDs were flying off the shelf and people couldn’t get enough!
I agree the video and wardrobe could have been much better and tasteful… And she did seem to take some of Beyonce’s borderline h03 moves (another one who did something very similar to this, and who’s CDs went flying right off the shelf), but the song is different and really just a fun song – nothing serious.
