Despite the mounting rumours, it appears Kelly Rowland and Beyonce are in fact still good friends. Indeed, the New York Post is reporting that the pair recently met up as recently as this week. More after the jump…
Just after Rowland checked into the Empire Hotel Thursday night, Knowles arrived there with her bodyguard, who waited two hours in the lobby while she visited her old bandmate in a suite upstairs. Rowland just released a new dance song, “Commander,” with producer David Guetta.
While it’s great to hear that all is still well with the ladies friendship, I do find it rather curious that we’ve yet to see them snapped together in so long (the photo accompanying this post is two years old). One explanation offered by an insider is that although the former Destiny’s Child members remain close, Rowland is eager to establish her own identity away from that camp…hence the lack of photo opps.
