The revamped version of the song boasts notches up the tempo, and features producer-turned-artist Bei Maejor -who recently signed with Ciara’s label home Jive. Take a listen below…

HIT…This is what it needed for pop radio. It’s a smart thing for her to do. Def Jam did it with Jeremih “Birthday S**” which was similar to “Ride”. Capitol Nashville also did it for Lady Antebellum “Need You Now” and it really helped them on CHR. This sounds very summery as well which is a plus.
I agree she needs to do this for pop radio, it may catch on more than the r&b version. The remix is ok I like it. And she is adorable. lol

why wasn’t this the ORIGINAL VERSION??????? Come on Ciara honey why do you keep making all of these bad decisions when it comes to that album? This sounds 100x better than the other version but I think it’s too late for her since Ride is flopping on the charts! Sorry sweetie you waited way too long.
I love it, its hot & might do well if sent to pop radio but its def not better than the original version. The original is much more gritty & thats the sound that Ciara is going for this time around. @Gucci sweet heart Ride is currently #35 on the R&B charts & is getting very good radio play so dont be so quick to call a something a FLOP, the song is still new. and why do people act like the hot 100 is the only chart that exists, RIDE is geared more towards her urban audience so get wit the mutha fing program.

I totally understand girl but let’s not fake the funk…R&B charts is only for r&b music, but the hot 100 is all inclusive. A song that is very well received would probably end up on multiple charts, not just one, at #35 at that (lmao)
The song has been out for more than a month now and by this point if it’s still not catching on it’s safe to assume that it never will. Sorry sweetheart. Like I said this version would probably have done way better.
This pop version definitely would have been better for radio play, but the hyphe over the song is almost gone. She really should have used this version to begin with.

Too late. This version could’ve been big if she released it at the time she did. There was pretty much no competition at the time she dropped the original version. Now if she drops this, she’s going to have to try to overcome Ke$ha and Katy Perry, which is not gonna happen. And Rihanna’s next single is coming out next week anyway. Girl, you messed up big time.

from what i can hear it is all good, reminds me of Oh the remix but it is hot. thumbsup for her, i like both versions and i have to say she is one of the best r&b artists out. she hasnt sold out by doing what is now becomming annoying, jumping on the electro wagon ah hem (ne-yo and others) she keeps it real and dor that i have the up most respect for her. i will be buying her new LP for sure cici show these cats how it done.
