The unstoppable force that is Lady GaGa has reportedly been meeting with the heads of Interscope to renegotiate the terms of her contract. The entertainer, with the assistance of manager Troy Carter and attorney Gary Stiffelman, is seeking to reach a new deal in time before her next studio release in the fall of this year. GaGa’s 1st album, ‘The Fame’, has sold over 3.25 million copies in the US and its followup, ‘The Fame Monster’, has already surpassed the one million mark since it’s release in November last year. Add those figures to the 15.5 million singles that she sold since her debut in 2008 and GaGa has a lot to bring to the bargaining table. Ching ching! {Source}

Congrats Lady Gaga!!! She’s probably the only one bringing in money!!! I agree with Kenney! People are saying Christina is copying Gaga but when Gaga copies other people she’s paying homage! How hypocritical!!! Gaga got dropped from labels because then she was just Stefani, the boring brunette in dire need of a nose job! She created this image for herself because she knew she had to stand out some how to make it and she did it! Here she is now! If you’re gonna say Christina copied then you better recognize that Lady Gaga has copied everyone from Madonna to Grace Jones and even David Bowie! She mixed parts of their persona to create Lady Gaga!!! Don’t get it twisted though! She’s still talented no doubt!!!

The reason GaGa is as successful as she is is not just down to her talent. Certainly Christina is just as talented – her voice has a wider range and more power than GaGa’s, but GaGa has written or co-written all of her songs. However, the really big difference is work-rate – GaGa just puts more effort into her work – when she releases her next album later this year it’ll make 3 albums in 3 years compared to 5 (if you count Mi Reflejo) in 11 years for Christina. Christina has released 14 singles in the US in those 11 years (plus don’t forget her last number 1 was back in 2000!) – so far GaGa has released 8 in just over 2 years – and then there’s her absolutely crazy concert schedule – I’ve heard other artists complain when they’ve done a tenth of that number. GaGa simply has a greater hunger for success than any other artist around and she is prepared to work as hard as she can to achieve it.
