Mary J. Blige has been lined up to portray Jazz legend Nina Simone in a new film. The Cynthia Mort movie, ‘Nina‘, centres on Simone’s relationship with her assistant Clifton Henderson, who will be portrayed by David Oyelowo. Simone was an iconic musician and activist whose biggest hits included a covers of ‘I Loves You Porgy’ and ‘I Put A Spell On You’. {Source}

Anyone that knows anything about Nina Simone would know that this is an abomination…with all the actresses and actual singer/actresses in Hollywood looking for that prime part like Heather Headley who could at least capture Nina.
I don’t want to even imagine Mary slaughtering “Black Is The Color Of My True Love’s Hair”…nope, she can’t pull it off as an actress and I won’t support a hip hop singer non- actress lip syncing thru that production of bs…my money well not spent.
