Contralto diva Toni Braxton made a promotional appearance on ‘The Mo’Nique Show’ last evening. The 6-time Grammy Award winner performed her new single, ‘Hands Tied’, as well as her a revamped version of her classic ‘Breathe Again’. Check out the performances and her interview with Mo’Nique below:

The sound quality on hands tied was bad, breath again was okay but her vocals seem not as strong. I didn’t see the Monique song on the album song list.

Was it just me, or was she singing really quietly?
It was a very boring performance. Couldn’t get into Hands Tied becuz I don’t know the song but it was s*** I may say. As for Breath Again I was a lil disappointed in that performance she could have came harder. I think she probably forgot some of the words. She just wasn’t doing nothing with the song. I mean the song isn’t that hard to sing. Anyway welcome back TONI. Wish you well on your new project, cuz no shade your gonna need it.

The voice is still there. Shes just getting back performing so shes warming up.
Toni is a R&B legend, vet in the game and still shitting on these younger girls, look wise and with her vocals.

It was bad for both performances. I just hope her voice gets louder. Just coped the new album, it is decent, not perfect, but decent.

I don’t think these performances were her best. She seem a little low vocally and I was getting use to her sparkling with style, it wasn’t bad at all though. I just like the stunning Toni, that’s been wowing me lately. i did purchase the album. The delux version with the 6 bonus songs is pretty good. I love Pulse and Wardrobe(beside Make my heart and Hands Tied). I wish her alot of success!

The vox were pretty low on her “Hands TIed” performance, but “Breathe Again” was better. Nonetheless, really great job.

Hands Tied is such a great song…the album is great as well.
When will Toni realize that she’s a VOCALIST, she should really cash in on Whitney and Mariah losing their voices and comes with that fire vocally, but it’s like she’s scared or something.. She needs to focus on her vocals and less movement. if folks are buying your records that’s what they want most.

Toni did her thing come on now she sings in a low register on hands tied so come off her and if she lacked she made up in the performance and looks dept. and she sh*tted on breath again I think that version sound better then the original one and I am a die hard #1 Toni fan so plz don’t come at her because she is doing better then them young chicks out there and the haters that is hatin on here…
Contralto is just damn s***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back Toni….and please don’t believe that you have to belt multi-octaves to be recognized. Anyone who’s sleeping on your time in the industry and VERY distinctive vocal is losing out.
