Peep the official album cover for the US version of JLS‘ self-titled debut, which was unveiled today.
Really though, where does one begin? Putting to one-side the obvious (insert Wendy Williams catchphrase), why are they even releasing in the US? Besides churning out wack music, wack routines, and just being all-round wack, their ‘test-the-waters’ single ‘Everybody In Love’ tanked terribly Stateside – garnering next-to-no radio play or public interest.
Important to point out, is that the UK boast MUCH in the way of US-ready talent. Just not in the form of JLS. What’s more, if the likes of Day26 are struggling to make an impact on the charts, what exactly are Aston and co going to do? Nice guys perhaps, but let’s keep it real…

The only country JLS are having big hits is England they are not even hot in Ireland and if they cannot get any Top 40 hits in Europe there is no way they are going to do well in the US.The UK press should stop pretending that JLS are taking on the world. There recent song will be their lowest selling in the UK which means the t*** girls are already growing up and moving on.

You can’t really say they’ve flopped in the US, EIL was gaining on US radio but they then decided to stupidly return to the UK to promote The Club is Alive.. so interest waned. However, it’s not JLS who flopped in the US, it was Everybody In Love. There’s a difference. They need to release a single and make sure they stay out there for a few months! promotion in the US is NOT easy…!
Second, about the gay rumours… none of them are gay. They’ve all got girlfriends, and had them way before the x factor. Unless, you guys are cynical enough to believe that it’s all a ploy and they’re really gay. people automatically assume that they’re gay… why? They share the same dream…. is that it?

Musically women have to be able to see a male group as desirable and manly.

As a result, I doubt women (young or older) are going to be able to relate to them.
WIthout female support, this group WILL fail. No males are going to want to say, “I am fans of JLS…”
Their management obviously feels lying to their clients is okay…. not in their best interest.
