Elongating what must be one of the longest Hip-Hop feuds in recent memory, Lil’ Kim has hit out at 90’s rival Foxy Brown in an interview with our friends over at AOL Black Voices.

“I don’t even want to mention her (Foxy). No, because she’s just somebody that’s just…No, I don’t even want to mention her. One moment she got something bad to say about me, one moment she got something good to say. I don’t like that flip flop sh–, that just means that you’re still crazy! My mom always told me if you know there’s a snake in the grass, and you know it’s a snake that bit you before, why would you pick it back up? I’m not picking back up anymore snakes no more. Everyone that’s around me now are very genuine, positive, and love me. You never know, time goes by and people show their real skin so I don’t give people 100% anymore. I brought so many people in this game, I rocked with so many people, showed so many people homage and love. But they don’t show it back to me. It doesn’t bother me, I just move on. That’s why I’m always quiet about things, I just take it on the chin because I’m God’s child.”

With all due respect, Lil’ Kim is a bad b****!!! She’s proven that’s she’s a lyricist, she’s proven that she could get five mics on a record review, and she’s proven that she could sustain a career after Biggie’s Death; but now, she needs to realize that it’s time to do less talking, and start making records. She has been at Foxy’s throat for years – and true enough, they don’t care for each other, but Kim has voiced her dislike for Foxy on tracks more than Foxy. Foxy Brown is not thinking about Lil’ Kim – hell the girl is happy to have her hearing restored, so Kim needs to kill that beef with a rusty knife.
On a different note, don’t get me wrong, Nicki Minaj’s steez is based off of the Lil’ Kim blueprint. Colorful wigs, sexual lyrics, and overtly sexual clothing – Lil’ Kim all day. But while she is talking about paying homage, she can start by paying homage to Salt-N-Pepa, McLyte, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Foxy Brown (yes, Foxy Brown was making tracks before Kim was even thought of – listen to “I Shot Ya” by LL Cool J feat. Foxy Brown, she was only 16 then) etc.; but I can’t tell you the last time I heard Lil’ Kim give any of these chicks props. So while she is expecting someone to bow down to her, she should bow down to those before her as well.

I do not disagree with her but she is taking so long to get another hit out there. I think she should work on working with the right people to get a hit single. Her last album came out in 2005. She should be working on making a hit single. The older you get in the female rap the game the less you sell records so she has to make another album with a hit single before its too late. It would not hurt if that collaboration with Rihanna actually took place instead of just talking about it. She should also get a couple ghost writers to help out with lyrics.
