Yeah in Europe plus I’m not like in the marketing side of things or publishing or anything – I just sit at my mixing desk twiddling knobs and sliders or more often doing the same thing with my laptop – and every now and then (well twice so far) I get paid to do some backing vocals at live gigs – I’m a very small cog in it all, not like some producer or anything. Oh and my BF’s in a band too. But none of the stuff I work on is urban at all – all pop and electro.
Plus as I’ve probably said before (as I tend to go on and on) I’ve only got into the whole urban music scene in the last couple of years so I don’t claim any great knowledge of the scene – I only just discovered Keri is a songwriter – I only ever came across her because of that Timbo’ collab. Plus you’ve now mentioned loads of other people I’ve never heard of – so its back to Google to look up Chrisette Michele, Ledisi, Ester Dean.

I’m not sure if it was a good call, not because of the t swift girl, but BECAUSE I WANT THE DAMN CD NOW!!! But the publicity this album is getting is WAY more than what Matthew did for those last two albums. I really feel like this is going to be the best album shes put out… I feel like this is going to be the Debut album she should have out out the first time around. GO KELLY!!!

Alexander, Jill Scott is “da shit” ..!!! Do yourself a favor, go and get “Who is Jill Scott”!! It was her, I think, debut CD; it’s, for-my-taste, a modern-day classic ..!!!

OMG, just the mere-mention of Jill Scott and Kelly Rowland, in the same sentence, the “contrast in talent” in-of-by-itself is enough to give one a whiplash, or cause precipitation/atmospheric anomalies to fall-from/form-in the heavens as when hot and cold fronts collide!

Just for the record, true vocal artistry/song writers: Jill Scott, Chrisette Michele, Ledisi, Ester Dean and Keri Hilson. The latter two, more singer/song-writers than “pure singers!”
And AlexanderTG, you and I “must talk – AT LENGTH”, regarding Rihanna and what happened in THAT car on ‘Feb 8th-09′, it seems that, with ALL the links I’ve posted, with all said researched-material; credible-researched material. You’re STILL “in doubt or have false-notions” as to what transpired in THAT car on-said-date between Chris and Rihanna!
