It’s been more than a year since the we’ve heard anything musically from Keisha Buchanan. Indeed, the 25 year old has kept a low profile since unceremonious being booted out of the Sugababes (which she founded) last September.
However, the familiar voice made a return this week (albeit unintentionally), as a snippet of a new track she’s been working on with producer Charlie Holmes surfaced. Titled ‘Fearless’, the stirring ballad packs an almighty punch with lyrics such as:
“I got an angel in my corner, and you can never touch her. You won’t win.”
Any guesses as to who she’s singing about?
Keisha’s Island Records debut is expected out this year.

Wow this snippet is amazing! The lyrics, her voice, the production is all very stirring. One of the few songs from the U.K. I’ve enjoyed (besides some of Leona’s material).

I have waited patiently to hear something from Keisha, I was worried she would not pull it off, but I love what I hear, I think she relly wil go places. As for Sugababes, well, Keisha really took their sound away! Now we can enjoy her voice even more.

Keisha had the best voice in the group anyway. The song has a nice melody, touching lyrics and good vocal arrangement. She deserves support on this.
And that’s the best way to shut down your critics, great track, this girl (and Mutya) always had the richest vocals in the multitude of lineups for that group, and at 25 she’s got the whole rest of her life in front of her. It ain’t over, Keisha got an album to sang.
