    I can tell you now she’ll sell between 150,000-350,000 if she’s lucky. Black Friday is when damn near every artist feels the need to release an album, specifically to take advantage of the ongoing sales. Onika better pray no one bigger than her (fanbase wise) releases an album that day.

    With all this incredible, undeserving publicity for the last 2 years, Nicki Minaj better sell at least 500,000 of her debut album the first week it hit stores. Otherwise, she will be a much-deserving certified flop…she’s more over-exposed than Rihanna, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian combined.

    just cuz blogs talk about you doesnt mean they should sell alot if u notice when blogs post about nicki about 65 percent of the comments are negative ……and nicki will probably sell about 200k i think her first week and thats not bad if you think about nt many staight boys are goin to buy nicki cd whether they like her or not … so that knocks out about the consumers right there @waddie g how has she been getting publicity for the last two years and she got signed less than a year ago stop overexagerating?

    Who is her fanbase? She has a lot of hype but no real talent. She could not even rhyme live at the EBT awards. I think it is unfair how the media tries hard to shove her in people’s faces when she has not done anything substantial. When Lil’ Kim came out she was not shoved down people’s faces yet a lot of people bought her 1st CD. When will the entertainment industry let people with real talent shine again? There are a lot of better female mcs that are more attractive and write better lyrics, but they do not get any shine.

    Overrated as hell. She’s all hype, really. Not a particularly gifted rapper or lyricist, I can guarantee that no one would be checking for her if she wasn’t attractive.

    Nicki doesn’t represent brown african-americans in her videos. And yet, the brown barbies are her strongest supporters. Just look at Nicki’s live performances on youtube and you will find the brown barbies in the front row. You will also find the brown barbies doing the most cover of Nicki’s songs. They simply love her; trying to wear her green and pink eye shadow.

    Nicki needs to represent brown barbies in her videos, before she can represent the cover of a black magazine. Maybe Essence will feature her next, since they’ve made “cultural” changes.

    Nicki, step your cookies up girl. Brown barbies spend money too.

    wow everybodys so harsh. You guys have to be judging based on her features that she can’t rap. I beg to differ. she is very skillfull to me. She has witty punchlines and sick metaphors. She is exactly what female hip hop needs.

    I don’t know or can predict her first week sales and personally don’t really care. Noone else should either becaus ethe money doesn’t go in any of our pockets. I remember a time nobody worried about how much so and so sold but supported the music they liked and left it at that.
