Janet can dance but she doesn’t dance as hard as usual. The VMA tribute to MJ was a perfect example. I think maybe her costumes or extra weight gets in the way.
I was there and it was incredible. Janet was so clear and she really was on point (dancing wise). I don’t really know how hard ya’ll want Janet to move. I prefer her to dance smooth with her usual sensual movement. She is a legend and I’d love for her to get her fair share of radio love once again! She deserves that and has been banned long enough! Out of all her peers she’s honestly the only one that still has it (and I’ve always loved or grown to admire some of them). Janet is a machine!

Its all playback. She doesn’t have much of a singing voice. She only sings in a whispery voice. So its not often you hear her hit high notes.

You (like many other casual music listeners) buy into the stereotype that to be considered a singer you have to belt like Jennifer Hudson. WRONG. It is all about the quality and overall tone of your voice. Janet is actually a very versatile singer. She can do the rock voice such as in “Scream” w/ brother Michael, smooth as in “That’s The Way Love Goes” and she can even hit high notes “Again”. Why don’t you youtube the I Get Lonely performance on Rosie O’Donnell Show in 1998 and her performance of Anytime Anyplace on SNL in 1994 and then get back to me.
