Christina Aguilera may have been stripped of her pride and likeability as of late (see: ‘Bionic’ sales); yet if there’s one thing no one can take away from the 29 year old – it’s her voice. The mother of one was filmed rehearsing for a charity gig last night, blowing all in attendance away with a powerful rendition of John Lennon‘s classic ‘Imagine’.

She’s got a gorgeous voice, but ‘Imagine’ is a song which needs great subtlety and emotion. Christina is trying too hard, and this is one of the ocassion where no matter how good your voice is, if you over-sing the track, then the audience are going to be left cold.

Anyway, those 42 seconds of her singing were GREAT. Perhaps it’s a blessing in disguise that her voice doesn’t have the same prowess it once did, now she’s singing instead of screaming. And I hate it when classic, untouchable songs are covered by contemporary artists, cause most of them will fuck it up, but Christina will do a great job with this.

I honestly do not get why people are hating on Christina she has undoubtedly an amazing voice and can sing like there is no tomorrow. The raspiness and grit of her voice is what makes her unique and a voice we all can spot a mile off. Let the girl sing! Bionic is an amazing album full of great songs its so sad it wasn’t received well but i bet she will be back in the studio recording in no time.
