I don’t understand, how can you say she isn’t a good performer? She’s so true, and feeling the song.. I too watched only 4th of july, and love her way to perform the song live! way better than the recorded track and that’s all about a singer
it takes alot to perform live like that and to full be yourself. Kelis is Original, she doesnt need tons of glitter and glamour to entertain people who just want to dance.
Btw She can sing a hell of alot better than Rihanna,
Kelis has a true voice, not an autotune mess.

All I have to say is WOW. Kelis was meant for this type of music because she’s really good at performing these songs. She isn’t lip-syncing and she sounds just like she does on the record. I am so happy Kelis isn’t too successful on the level of other R&B/Pop divas because she doesn’t sell out. She just goes in the direction that she thinks is right for her and does damn well at doing it. “Flesh Tone” is one of my favorite albums this year, it’s so catchy and makes you feel good while listening to it. Great performances Kelis!!

I bet any amount of $$$ that Kelis will get a Grammy nomination for Flesh Tone! This was the hottest album of the year. Play a dry one of those dry breathed Rhianna tracks and then release the Kelis! She’s a beast and if you can’t handle it than it’s your lost! Too bad so many people have such pedestrian taste!
