Lady GaGa sat down to RWD magazine to talk about her new album, ‘Born This Way’, recently. The singer/songwriter revealed that record entails some of the best material that she has ever put forward and that her ideas even impressed fellow superstar Beyonce. Check out what GaGa said below:
“The album is my absolute greatest work I’ve ever done and I’m so excited about it,” she told RWD Magazine.
“The message, the melodies, the direction, the meaning, what it will mean to my fans and what it will mean in my own life – it’s utter liberation.
“I knew I had an ability to change the world when I started to receive letters from fans: ‘You saved my life…’ ‘I’m gay and my parents threw me out…’
“My fans have related to me as a human being and as a non-human being – as a super-human person that I truly am.”
The ‘Alejandro‘ star also said that she is not arrogant, insisting that music is the only thing she feels confident about.
She continued: “Everyone tells me I’m arrogant but my music’s the only thing I’ve got, so you’ll have to let me be confident about one thing. I suppose that’s what you can expect from the album: a lot of hit records that will piss people off.
“Beyoncé said: ‘Where the f**k do you get these ideas from?’ And I was like: ‘I don’t know Bee, it was just the way I was born’.” {Source}

Idk, I’m so hoping she will NOT go the same route as she did with ‘The Fame’ and ‘The Fame Monster.’ She has enough musical talent to do songs with depth and substance instead of that electro-dance crap! I think she should include a few of those songs just so she won’t be abandoning most of her fanbase, though. She does need to have a piece of humble pie because people are already expecting it to be great, and with all of her own ‘hyping’ it only elevates that expectation. We’ll see.

I like Gaga’s songs, but I think she is overrated. She is a great artist, but I am just tired of her and the costumes especially when she did not start off like that. There didn’t seem to be a natural maturation or evolution. It’s like they outfitted her in these things and now she keeps trying to push things to the limit. I don’t understand why she doesn’t bother to dress normal when not performing. Also, I don’t understand why she keeps trying to give meaning to the outlandish things she does. What many people fail to realize is that Gaga is only famous because of PUBLICITY, MARKETING, AND MANAGING! Just about every single one of her songs on The Fame (Fame Monster) are superficial, bubblegum, sexually explicit, immature, and sound like they were written in 5 minutes! So she’s not famous for having meaningful and empowering songs. Yea she writes her own stuff, wears what she wants, and may have some say in the direction she wants for her music videos, but um…. I WOULDN’T BRAG ABOUT THAT SH**! At least blame that pathetic manufactured sh** on someone else. Her music, sense of style, and visions are all horrible. She’s a n**. She’s too much of a gimmick. Nothing is natural, everything is forced and that’s not attractive. Not to mention she copied everything from Madonna, Grace Jones, David Bowe, and Bjork! And even took notes from Gwen Stefani and Britney Spears. She takes what they did and thinks of ways to turn it up. How creative? In my opinion she doesn’t do sh** for gays but sexually exploit them in her music videos and make them look like they all are weird, which isn’t what being gay is about!
It’d be better if she said nothing about the album. Hyping raises people’s expectations, and that is not necessarily a good thing. That being said, I can’t wait to see what she will bring to the table on her next album.

My guess is she wants this to be “the album of our generation”. But the fans and others are supposed to determine that, not her. Plus no matter what message she tries to convey with this album (my guess is about homosexuality) it’s all been done before. Just she’s a bigger star then most of the other people who’ve tried to do it and her “message” will be available to more people and thus will be more overrated. There are plenty of albums and songs out there that convey the same message she wants to (and they do it better) yet her’s will get more praise simply because she’s Gaga. I’m only going to use Leona as an example (fan of her’s here if ya didn’t know 😛 ) but Happy conveyed a message that applies to everyone in their lives yet it didn’t do well because 1) Leona’s fanbase isn’t as big as Gaga’s and 2) people called it boring. Now Gaga will release the same type of song that appeals to everyone, and her’s will be number 1 and praised to the heaven’s and it’s production probably won’t be much different since Gaga’s doing alot more piano songs lately. It’s just silly and there’s nothing she’s doing that hasn’t been done already.
lulz I don’t get the appeal in women like Gaga. She’s so obsessed with trying to be bigger than she actually is, that it’s quite pathetic. She tries way too hard. M.I.A said it best, nothing about her is progressive, especially her music. She has such a big mouth and says so much s*** and has so many fans yet none of it applies to where it really should, and that is her music (although now that everyone has said that about her, she’s just now deciding to change it up). Then again though, if she didn’t have her dumb looking fashion, she would’ve been disposed of after Poker Face. She wants people to be themselves and tells them to be themselves at her concerts, etc yet she’s anything but her true self (Though she’ll outright lie to you and say she’s always been weird and dressed like an idiot.)
