The video for Nelly’s ‘Just A Dream’ debuted today. Serving as the 1st single from his upcoming ‘Nelly 5.0’ LP (in stores on November 16th), the record has already climbed to #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video is available below:
That was an incredible visual. From the concept to the editing and graphics, Nelly definitely delivered with this one. He could have easily released a simple clip but it seems that he is determined to claim the top spot on the charts and make his mark with this new album. Good work.

I actually really LOVE this song! I think he did this to get back on the map, so hopefully he does some hardcore music this era as well.

Clearly he was the only rapper singing with a melodic feel to his music…Now every rapper wants to sing Kanye, T.I., Wayne etc… Give credit where it’s do but hey I guess if there weren’t any haterz around the world wouldn’t turn…

I agree with Ms. Love. How the f*** did jump on the band wagon? The last time I checked Nelly has had songs with similar sounds with melodic choruses. And if my ears aren’t broken, I don’t hear the electronic, autotune b******* found in every other song these days. Anyway, he’s coming hard! This is a beautiful video.
I so agree with @Ms. Love! Nelly was one of the first rappers, if not the very first, to actually incorporate melodic arrangements and the R&B/Pop feel to hip hop music that crosses over to mainstream. It’s really not that generic considering he sort of created it and made it what it is today. He is kind of the originator. I actually like it as long as he still does his hardcore rapping as well. The idea of having an album strictly hip hop (Sweat) and another incorporating R&B/Pop (Suit) was genius because it catered to both demographics. I’m not sure if he will do that this time around but hopefully he does something to that affect. And at least he doesn’t use auto-tune like the other rappers to sound better.

great song, great vid.been feeling this song for a while now and it’s still got that something, unlike most of the tripe that’s out at the moment. I have to admit that i prefer his more hardcore sound.
