Jennifer Hudson and Xtina are screamers and strainers.
Jennifer sounds like any ol woman at your local black church. she is nothing special. And her range is lackluster. Jennifer has the brass and top notes but B has much better control and pitch accuracy. Though it should be also noted, Beyonce lower, and mid tone is supreme is eat’s Jennifer’s alive. The only thing Jen has over Bey is soul and power. Bey’s range, control, versatility, tone, runs/riffs all exceed Jennifer Hudson’s.
And if Christina is not the most overrated vocalist out. Christina’s voice is so poorly produced she has so much tension….everything is in the throat, which is why she has no true vocal power. I assume you go deaf when Christina goes above a D5? Christina’s voice is just loud….she has no true vocal power. Her placement is horrendous…extremely throaty…which is why her voice never resonates.

You seriously think Fire Bomb (the only Rihanna song on my iPOD) gives Rihanna more artistic depth? The lyrics are amazing. Hands down one of her best songs, but her vocals are decent at best and the vocal arrangements show no versatility. Disappear completely murks her.

Bey is everything that Rihanna wants to be in her career. Like it or not, Rihanna fans. That’s why I tries to stay away from the Rihanna vs Bey wars because they aren’t peers, they aren’t of the same generation of artists. Bey’s peers or contemporaries are Alicia, Brandy, Aaliyah, Monica, etc. Even Toni Braxton. told you this in her interview on this very site. Toni and Bey are contemporaries too.
Rihanna’s contemporaries are Amerie, Ciara, Tierra Marie, Cherish, Jennifer Hudson, Melanie Fiona, Keyshia Cole(and even she had been in the industry when she was young). It’s just like True Blue said, you don’t attack the artists who have influenced your fave. For example, I prefer Bey’s music over MJB’s but I know that MJB has influenced her and pretty much most Urban female artists, for that matter.
So if I was a Rihanna stan, if I would rather my fave artist be compared to the successes to her contemporaries and have her establish her own apart from them. Comparing her to someone who has been doing this from when she was 7 is not the right thing for Rihanna stans to do. Just saying.
