Clearly these lists are based on yearly success because it can be argued if Eminem is the best or not. Also, why just WHY is Wacka Flocka on the damn list. I believe all the other people belong where they are though.

This is so waaack! I’m tired of Eminem getting the #1 spot on every list. Why is this unanimous? I’m not saying that he’s a bad rapper, I do believe he’s no longer in his prime. I don’t understand how DMX and Nelly isn’t listed and Drake and Minaj is. Also, why are these 2 ranking higher than Ludacris and Lil Wayne(who’ve repeatedly found success multiple times).

Before anyone starts to trip about it being rappers included that only have music out in ’2010, look at the title. It’s a bit confusing because they’re not stating that it’s a list of the best rapper in 2010, it debateably appears to be a list of the best rappers at this time. So there’s some confusion there.

Ummm…the list says the Hottest Rappers of 2010 (Not of all time) so I think they got the list correct. I won’t argue with it no matter how many people say this person flopped or this person is not #1 or whatever.
Eminem, the only artist to almost sell 3 million copies of an album THIS year…he gets a pass and he’s had two #1′s from that album.
Jay-Z…came back hard with this album
Rick Ross and Waka have held down their respective ends of the hood…

People should really understand the criteria for these lists. BET and MTV have certain criteria for their list which determines who’s included. No matter what the title is, the criteria is what determines the list. It’s clear that this list is based off of the last YEAR, containing those rappers who have been successful, while garnering immense POPULARITY. It’s obvious that they didn’t incoporate lyricism as a main component of the criteria because clearly WHACKa Flocka lacks in that department and the fact that he AND Nicki were on there (particularly her WITHOUT an album) further proves popularity was a huge factor. Do I agree with the list: NO! But can I see how they came to their conclusions: Yes. It was even one year they considered putting Soulja Boy on the list.

i wish they would stop making those ridiculous list jeesh… but seriously they need to take nicki, drake, rick ross, and waka flaka off , because they havent had the longevitiy that the other artist have had. i think Eminem does deserve number one, he came out of no where and treated the rap game with a diverse and a meaningful album that reached across pop and hip hop charts. i give credit where it is due, and Eminem did great.

We need to set the record STRAIGHT, you guys need to remember that this list is strictly but not limited to sales and how successful the MC has been DURING the year 2010!!! Not 2009 not 2008 but 2010. So I could see that the list did justice, except for Wacka Flocka ( that one Im surprised lol). It sucks that Lil Wayne is number 7 and I don’t completely agree with that but other then that they got number 1 right. Nobody can say Eminem isn’t killing it this YEAR 2010
