I think X Factor is becoming more about creating an ENTERTAINER rather than looking for just a singer.

I LIKE HOW Belle Amie REMIXED AIRPLANES AND ADDED A MELODY. I THINK THE GIRL WHO WAS ADLIBING SHOULD’VE SANG LEAD BUT THEN AGAIN THAT GIRL WHO WAS SINGING LEAD VOICE DID GO WELL WITH THE ARRANGEMENT OF THE SONG.

I am from Jamaica, so don’t really get to see the X-Factors, but is it possible to bring her (Gamu) back (wild card)?? I sure hope so, her audition was so good. I fell in love with her on the spot.

this must be some kind of joke! some of these performances are just a complete mess!! i did like Matt Cardle ,Rebecca Ferguson , Mary Byrne , Katie Waissel and my favorite has got to be TreyC Cohen. the rest were just a mess!! i’m surprised they even let them throug :/
I had hoped for a LOT more from Cher (as I’m sure many did also). Her audition was so incredible. Everything since the audition has been very disappointing. Her voice is thin, a little weak and she tends to go flat way too often. The setup of the stage and dancers are the only thing that made this watchable. Not sure what the judges had to say but if it was all positive, I’m definitely starting to think this thing is fixed.

Well, I must say, I have been watching X-Factor from the USA and it is WAY better than American Idol. I don’t respect that Cheryl didn’t bring back Gamu. I honestly feel because she is black she didn’t make it. Cher’s performance was OKAY for me. She didn’t really sing. It sounded mediocre. Matt wasn’t that great either but, they gave a good performance. The singing wasn’t really there tonight. TreyC killed it though in terms of singing. X-Factor is cool. I hope the results are posted on the site tomorrow. I am really excited to see who makes it. This is my first season of x-factor and I am exciting :).

Still don’t get the hype around cher. I thought her performance and the stage steup was cute, but then I heard the vocals. Lord Jesus have mercy on my ears.
I honestly liked Cher’s first audition performance, but that b**** really is fucken overrated!
Aden is my favorite by far followed by Belle Amie and One Direction. Those two groups are so marketability= $$$. I like Mary too. I just don’t like the Susan Boyle comparison. Rebecca did well too. I love her the tone of voice, but she bores me.
I can’t believe you didn’t post up Aiden’s performance who BY FAR had the BEST performance and best vocals (well apart from Mary). He was 100% committed. GO AIDEN!!!

OMG he was damn good, at first i was skeptical because its so damn hard to sing it! but WOW he nailed it! WAY TO GO!

Weeelll…that was a lot of interesting sounds that came out of people’s mouths, some of it on key/pitch, some of it was not ( i can kinda see why they were using autotune). MAtt and Treyc were the most consistent and least pitchy singers that night. That Rebecca has an unique sound but something just didn’t sound right to me. Luckily she has a nice look and that can help people dismiss certain things. Cher has “swag” but that song was all wrong, she sang the chorus and rapped a verse, nothing about that song was beneficial to her. This show really exposed some weaknesses in the contestants.
I don’t understand why more aren’t upset about Katie with her supremely weak vocals being there. From some comments, Cher seems to be absorbing alot of venom but there are so many weak folks there that she really shouldn’t be the only recepient of hate. I don’t get to watch the show here in the U.S. so I don’t know the backstory on the contestants but Cher isn’t the worst there, not by a long shot.
I do like that the show gives each performer the opportunity to perform with lighting, dancer , etc. That seems like fun.
I’m really getting tired of the words “swag” and “epic” used for everything….especially when it isn’t
Simon Cowell insulted Mariah. One sweet day holds the record for the most weeks at #1. It was a big hit in UK too.
AI season 7 finalists sang OSD as a group song, during Mariah’s week, in front of him, Paula and Randy. Various contestants sang OSD on X Factor, also. It’s a shame that a man who runs a POP song contest know such a little about POP music. He also insulted the whole population of New Zealand.

Aiden & 1direction (aka the Harry Potters) are UK pop stars.
Cher song suited her but YES Cheryl mini-mee is JUST that. She has presence on stage which is excellent. She’d do well in europe.
Katie is a pop singer so people shouldnt be looking to her vocals cus they wont be that strong. She dont really stand out to me because although the judges say she’s different for the show in the POP world she wouldnt be, especially with GaGa around

cher is a hype, i loved her at auditions but ever since then she’s has not proven herself to be more than a gimmick. see white girl from small town trying to be street (bandana check) and urban (cringy rap check). cheryl loves her because chav loves chav, its a scientific fact.
also rebecca could have gotten a better song, her ade and traycee were given the typical oh we got a black person, lets give them some old motown or whitney to sing. louis is old so he gets a pass from me, but cheryl is younge ad should know better. its clear she was more focused on her two other more (insert sarcasm) “orginal” acts. which is exactly how she trated alexander burk in the beginning before alex outlived the favorites to win, laura and diana.
my money is on aiden to win, hes got a great voice and cute enough to win over the younge t*** audience. only problem is that xfactor kills the career of any male winner see steve brockstein, shayne ward ad leon jackson aka who, who ad who?
Bring back Keri. One Direction has potential, Bel Amie too. TreyC had a good vocal and so did Rebecca…

I’m going to jump on the bandwagon and say that Cher’s performance was asstastic. Eventually people are going to get tired of the loud background singers, her indistinct warbling, and the rapping that makes Vanilla Ice look like JayZ. She’s wack and once again people are trying to package all things urban into a nice (not so nice looking) suburban package and act like it’s something new or edgy. I want to see her in front of a microphone, no dancing, no rapping and just singing. She will be more exposed than she was on Saturday. I hope that Cheryl gives Rebecca better material that showcases her talent and an outfit that showcases her beauty. I also love the way they attempted to ignore the chorus of boos that rang out every time Cher and Katie’s names were mentioned.

I’m reading some of these comments and laughing so hard because 1D is one of the most popular boybands in the world and not one of you people gave them two seconds of your time. i remember watching them and thinking they were the best. almost everything you guys said was wrong and now just realize how far theyve come :))
