Despite her dismal showing at the American Music Awards this weekend, Christina Aguilera pressed on with the promotion for her new movie ‘Burlesque’ – tonight stopping by the Late Night With Conan O’Brien Show. There the diva performed ‘Something’s Got A Hold On Me’ from the film’s soundtrack.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Ms. Aguilera served it all up with that performance. Absolutely incredible.
If ‘Burlesque’s’ impeccable promotion has highlighted anything, it’s that Aguilera is much more at ease with performances requiring her voice and not much more.
For while she manages to soar in such in instances, she instead just looks sore when trying to do much else. Case, point, example, her underwhelming performance at Sunday’s American Music Awards. Stiff, lifeless, and comparable to someone’s 50 year old mother playing dress-up, the performance was embarrassing – particularly in comparison to world-class showings such as the above.
Here’s hoping Ms. Aguilera finds what works for her at present and plays to that, while she hones her problem areas (dancing, evoking any kind of energy).

Yes XTina SLAYED that (again) she is so amazing!i do agree that she’s more comfortable just singing than doing a whole dancing performance but i wouldn’t say her AMA performance was bad it was just “ok”. If she had mimed instead of sang live then she would probably have slayed the dancing like she did in the movie but Christina is a SINGER so she sings live.
That interview was hilarious too it looked like she had so much fun and the “LOOK AT ME B****!” thing was so funny! X_X
P.S to anybody saying she’s “fat” i’m sorry you are rediculous, yes she’s put on weight but she’s more curvy than fat, Marilyn Monroe was bigger than she is now and still one of the most beautiful women ever. She needs to stick to dresses like this that compliment her figure until she loses weight though.

Ofcourse she kilt this performance’ what else is new. Its pretty much 2nd nature for her to deliver a great performance on a BALLAD.
But as an Xtina STAN; I was dissappointed with the AMA performance, however it still slays these Keshas etc. any day. She should have cut the songs outro short cos I swear there was like a good 20secs where she was doing anything. Come on Xtina; I have higher expectations. Although shes not a dancer, she needs to rehearse more if shes doing an uptempo song
