Extended Trailer: Beyonce’s ‘I Am…World Tour’ DVD

Published: Tuesday 9th Nov 2010 by Sam

Ahead of the release of Beyonce‘s eagerly awaited ‘I Am…World Tour’ DVD on November 25th, an extended trailer for the visual compilation has been released.

Check it out below…

If it’s iconic status they are going for with the presentation, then it’s mission accomplished. Whether Bouncy is there already is open to interpretation. She’s definitely speeding towards such title, do you feel she’s there yet though?

Your thoughts?

  2. annie! :] November 9, 2010

    i definitely think she’s getting to icon status!! she’s not quite there yet but she’s very, very close… i think she’ll prove she’s at that icon status with this next album. and i can’t wait for this DVD much longer! the anticipation is killing me :D!

  3. Music Lover November 9, 2010

    Beyonce has ever right to be name an ICON, LEGEND and Beyond.

  4. Trucie November 9, 2010

    Not yet. She talented and a great performer but she needs to work on the quality of music she puts out. I can’t think of one track from her that will stand the test of time. If anyoneBaby you got me, ain’t nowhere that I’d be
    Then with your arms around me
    Back and forth you rock me
    So I surrender, to every word you whisper
    Every door you enter, I will let you in is confused by that comment, pls refer to Whitney’s, Tina’s, Toni’s, Aretha’s, and Anita’s catalogs. I’ve been a DC3/Beyonce fan since they broke onto the scene and I can tell u that although they/she created their own sound and set themselves apart from others, and no matter how great the music is for the time being, it lacks the substance that wld make it timeless. In that respect Michael and Madonna and everyone I mentioned before r icons and their music has stood the test of time to the point that Bey herself has sampled and paid homage to. She came very close with the “I am” part if her last album but not even critics were convinced that it was genuine Beyonce. I think she has more work to do to secure the icon status. It really more than just filling stadiums or any kind of popularity. To me it’s all about tue music. It’s all that’ll be left of u one ur dead and gone. Its ur legacy. MJ’s death has taught me that. Her next album needs more substance. It needs to leave us w a feel for the real Beyonce. The 29 year old married woman who has grown wise over the last decade needs to show us her maturity and not just another catchy nursery rhyme like tune to just shake our asses to until the next one comes along and replaces it.

  5. royalkev November 9, 2010

    She’s there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beyonce is a legend. I know this will bring on the hate. So haters go right ahead! I’m not saying she’s God or the only one with talent, but Bey has earned her position. She is the Queen!

    then she will be 100 percent be a legit legend
    but she is almost there

  9. movieman November 9, 2010

    and girl sit your ass down who gonna replace beyonce the girl who cant scan a million copies even with 7 nr1s or the homewrecker both whose tour grossed 4 times less then beyonce lmfao girl sit aint no one coming for beyonce

  10. daboss8791 November 9, 2010

    SAY WHAT YOU WILL, BUT BEYONCE PUTS ON ONE HELL OF A SHOW EVERY TIME SHE POUNCES ON IT. SHE MAY NOT BE THE BEST VOCALIST, AND YES HER SOUND IS VERY COMMERCIAL, BUT THAT’S THE AUDIENCE SHE’S AIMING FOR, AND IN ORDER FOR HER TO REACH THE LEVEL OF SUCCESS THAT SHE HAS, THERE REALLY IS NO OTHER CHOICE. JUST WHEN I COUNT HER OUT, SHE ASTOUNDS ME WITH HER LEVEL OF DEDICATION TO HER CRAFT. IT’S A SHAME TO SEE HOW SO MANY ‘ENTERTAINERS’ WILL ACTUALLY SASHAY ACROSS THE STAGE, AND CALL IT A PERFORMANCE! THIS GIRL ROCKS, SHE’S CLASSY AND SHE DESERVES HER PLACE IN HISTORY. SHE DOESN’T HAVE ALL THE NEGATIVE PRESS THAT ALOT OF THE FEMALE CELEBRITIES HAVE, BECAUSE SHE RECOGNIZES HER WORTH AS AN ARTIST, AND I THINK SHE SHOULD BE APPLAUDED FOR THAT.

  11. TMM09 November 9, 2010

    I’m a hater and I will never call her a queen, a legend or an icon… But I will always buy her bluray’s!

  12. Dilla November 9, 2010

    Bey, please release this dvd already, sheesh!!!

  13. Diane November 9, 2010

    I got mad respect for Beyonce. She hasn’t recorded music in almost a year and NOBODY has come close to taking her spot. Many imitators, but not one duplicator. That’s what you call a true legend. Like Liza Minelli. Personal issues aside, nobody in her genre has torn up that stage like Liza.

  14. Ayo November 9, 2010

    I think she needs to bring out an album that just hits everybody and breaks all kinds of records and then she’ll have it. I need Iconic music.

  15. Beystanbish November 9, 2010

    What the hell @tmm09. How you gone be a hater but buy her s***. Hilarious. But anyways haters in 5,4,3,2,1 go. lol I see you Tc,d. Dont come in here cause I will drag your ass like I did in the last post.

  16. Dilla November 9, 2010

    I have to say, the reason why nobody has managed to take Beyonce’s spot is because they are too busy imitating her and nobody can be a better Bey than Bey. If these girls would come out with an original image and music there would be much more variety and more than 1 queen. These girls try to hard to beat Bey at her own game and it will NEVER work. For reference check out Ashanti,Ciara, Keri Hilson ect……..

  17. the kiddz November 9, 2010

    Of course she’s iconic. She has only gotten bigger these past few years, she’s refreshed her look and sound, got people to finally take her semi-serious as an actress and continues to prove she’s the most versatile performer of our time. I agree that some Beyonce stans hype her up a little too much, but we have credible co-signers.

    Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Prince, Kanye West, Teena Marie, Donna Summer, Debbie Allen, Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackmann, Mike Meyers, Dionne Warrick, Grace Slick, Patti Labelle, Annie Lennox, Bono, Chris Martin, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Rod Stewart, Patti and those are just a handful. Even STEVIE WONDER has went to her concerts. And she has performed with a good portion of legends, more than most.

    She has a fair share of naysayers. Just her name alone can spark 20 pages of internet debate. But, Beyonce’s career is and has been overflowing with greatness for a while now.

    Can’t wait for Round IV, you ready?

  18. GIMMIE DAT BASS November 9, 2010

    … and @ Beystanbish, I was thinking the same damn thing! Sometimes I can’t even comment because certain comments make absolutely no sense at all!

  21. h November 9, 2010

    @GIMMIE DAT BASS

  22. the kiddz November 9, 2010

    @H

    And WDYLM reached #1 on the dance chart, despite no video or release. And it’s funny how that one video received more coverage than Ciara’s “attempts” this era. Lol

  23. beyoncestan4eva November 9, 2010

    I watch this video about 15 times already and i still get goosebumps….i freakin loveeeeeeeeeee beyonce…..the hater need 2 sit down cuz she is da baddest bish doin it……

    in the library at skool and i jus want 2 scream dat how much i love me sum beyonce

  25. MADD MEN November 9, 2010

    beyonce is far from becoming an icon, she needs way more to accomplish that status…cause when u taking about iconic people , it should be people just by the song of their name u can be able to illustrate a meaning to the person. for me beyonce is not in the zone for that status yet..i remember once i mention beyonce to someone and they were like whom, and i had to be like finding meaning to her name or some memorable acts, until i said she is with the rapper jayz….
    so when we’re talking about icon , even a child born of today and 5 yrs later with the mention of MJ, bob marley(and those ppl are dead), and just a few other names, it dont matter where u are but ppl will remember those ppl….now thats what u call icon…..not beyonce at least not yet(but wait a minute she already 29 or 30)

  26. Baron November 9, 2010

    Is she an icon? Absolutely. This girl has earned respect from both her peers AND her idols.

  27. MADD MEN November 9, 2010

    @BARON

    being an icon is not synonymous to being respectful….some of the most respected men or women in the world are not icons, theyre just known for the respectful caliber

  28. never lying—-truth teller November 9, 2010

    beyonce post is always boring, i need some spice and drama in my morning….next post

  29. GIMMIE DAT BASS November 9, 2010

    THIS H** irrelevant cant even get 30 comments on here, aint nobody checking for that wack a** DVD

  30. Dawon November 9, 2010

    Queen Beyonce is definitely in ICON status. No one else in the Industry right now has so muchrevelancy. check the credits. Ever othe Icon/Legend has giving Beyonce so much props They love her!

    @Gimmie Dat Bass please go away cause I will drag, slay and lay you and yo flop chick to rest in a quick 5 minutes! TRY ME B1TCH!!!

  31. geegley November 9, 2010

    she is an icon. she was in icon since BDAY era. she became a legend afer IASF. all the relevant people in music have spoken about her. tina turner, patti labelle, janet jackson, diana ross. her peers bow down to her. even the president of the United States respect her and had her serenade them to the White house. yes, Beyonce is a Legend! A living legend who’s sadly misunderstood, viciously hated on and surprisingly UNDERRATED!

    she’s a the legend of the millenium ! and haters know this.

  32. never lying—-truth teller November 9, 2010

    @GIMMIE DAT BASS

    i totally agree with you, bee post is skipped right through by everyone else, except her stans which as u can see is a little bit by the way

  33. misa November 9, 2010

    that’s easy. everyonr knows the gurl works her ass off to the iconic status. I am not such a fan, but I respect Beyonce.

  34. fire hydrant November 9, 2010

    YOU SEE: THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEYONCE AND CIARA, RIHANNA, KATY PERRY, KESHA OR WHOEVER ELSE. BEYONCE DOESNT NEED #1 HITS, LOL. HER ALBUM GOES STR8 #1. WHILE THE OTHER ARTIST EYE #1 SINGLES, LOL.

    BEYONCE IS THE QUEEN AND F** U HATERS.

    HER DVD WILL BE #1 SELLING. WATCH! LOL

  35. Soulful Roses November 9, 2010

    I believe shes iconic. The women has earned the title. Shes made for the stage. Have you seen this womens face when she performs? I havent seen so much drive and passion in any female artist.

  36. MADD MEN November 9, 2010

    @GEEGLY

    she is only a legends to the ignorants who want to believe……i dont hate bee, my god i have all her records, i just dont stand for mediocrity like this….legends and icons suppose to go to those who are not to the wannabe, bee has never stood up for what she believes in, it has always been about what mommy or daddy or what some else wants, for me no one has ever or will ever know what bee represents, cause she is fake, and an icon is suppose to be someone who is known for what they stand for and their popularity….over the yrs there been no growth in beyonce in music, style et cetera, all u and me see is a product created by ppl who were unable to make it musically and or popularity….and being an artist there must be growth over the yrs all i see is the same beyonce from DC to the bee she is now….now change

    what does she stands for
    what does she belong to
    what voice does she represent

    this we may never find out(at least gaga voice out for gays/gay rights) at least we know what she represents.

    for me beyonce will always be this beautiful girl with a voice stage presents, but no personality

  37. misa November 9, 2010

    @GIMMEDATBASS AND NEVER LYING TRUTH TELLER, F*** YALL!
    I BET YALL R RIHANNA AND CIARA FANS.
    RIHANNA WILL NEVER EVER BE BEYONCE. SHE CAN TRY ALL SHE WANT. CIARA? LMAO! S***, CIARA’S A JOKE. SHE WAS THER B4 RIHANNA. SHE LET RIHANNA BLOW HER ASS OFF AND BURY HER CAREER. CIARA’S MUSIC DOESNT EVEN ENTER THE CHARTS, LMAO.
    RIHANNA CAN COMPETE WITH KATY AND KESHA AND THOSE LIL BUBBLE GUM SINGERS LMAO.

    DON’T U SEE HOW LEGENDS RESPECT BEYONCE AND GIVE HER PROPS?!!!

  38. misa November 9, 2010

    @MADDMEN, I SLIGHTLY AGREE WITH THE PERSONALITY THING. THATS Y I DONT STAN FOR BEYONCE. ALTHOUGH, I RECOGNIZE HER ICONIC STATUS. JUST BCOZ SHE DOESN’T HAVE A PERSONALITY DOESNT KEEP HER FROM BEING AN ICON. MJ WAS A P********, WHAT DID HE STAND FOR. HIS MUSIC MADE PPL CRY… AND U CAN SEE BEYONCE STARTING TO HAVE THE SAME IMPACT ON PPL. DID U WANTCH THE DVD?

  39. never lying—-truth teller November 9, 2010

    @MISA

    voicing my opinion dont make me a rihanna or ciara stan, what up with u ppl, cant i give my own opinion on the topic at hand ..y do i have to be stanning for ciara/rihanna, my god, i bet yall brain needs to develop more

  40. geegley November 9, 2010

    @MADDMEN, beyonce’s personality is way to sweet for ppl to noice. only the ones close tO and love her will notice it. I love her and will stan for her 24/7.
    SORRY HATERS.

  41. MADD MEN November 9, 2010

    @MISA
    ppl cry for movies, hell i cry for so may movies, that doesnt make the ,movie iconic….of course ppl gonna cry at concert or faint out its normal cause they superstar is onstage, dont forget the topic referred to whether bee is or gonna be an icon…my answer to that if she was gonna be she would have already been, she is like 30 yrs already, by the time MJ hit puberty he was already a legend/icon

    bee will be a household name, remember by many, trust me

  42. misa November 9, 2010

    shine? there are 3 categories of beyonce haters and must belong in one of them. L@neverlying, because i noticed only the whack ciara/rihanna stans fail to see Beyonce’s grandeur. y’all bitterly blind. tell me, were u a DC fan and started hating on Bey coz of their breakup? u blamed her , didnt u? or were u an Ashanti fan, now u hate Bee coz she murdered shanti’s career? or are u an ugly fat, low self esteem black female who cannot stand to see another black female rise and MAO.

  43. misa November 9, 2010

    FIXING MY PREVIOUS POST
    @neverlying, because i noticed only the whack ciara/rihanna stans fail to see Beyonce’s grandeur. y’all bitterly blind. tell me, were u a DC fan and started hating on Bey coz of their breakup? u blamed her , didnt u? or were u an Ashanti fan, now u hate Bee coz she murdered shanti’s career? or are u an ugly fat, low self esteem black female who cannot stand to see another black female rise and shine? there are 3 categories of bee haters and u must belong in one. c’mon sista, speak! LMAO.

  44. misa November 9, 2010

    @MADDMEN, MJ DID NOT HAVE SO MANY HATERS WHO’VE DEDICATED THEIR LIVES TO TARNISH HIS IMAGE. DID MJ HAVE WEBSITES DEDICATED TO SOLELY HATE ON HIM? BY DA TIME MJ HAD HATERS ITS BCOZ HE WAS FOUND TO BE A P********!

    PPL HATED BEY COZ OF DESTINYS CHILD. THEY HATED THAT GURL. I’VE BEEN TO WALMART AND SEE HER CD’S WITH GRAFFITI, TORN, HIDDEN, WITH DO NOT BUY STICKERS ON THEM. WHAT????? SERIOUSLY. THE HATE HAD SLOWN BEYONCE PROGRESS TO ICONIC STATUS, BUT NOW SHE IS. IT TOOK HER LONG YEARS BUT SHE ‘S DONE IT AND I APPLAUD HER HARD WORK!

  45. royalkev November 9, 2010

    @Maddmen, I’d beg to differ with you. Beyonce since Destiny’s Child stood for strong, independent women. She has ever since the song, “Independent Women”, “Survivor”, “Say my Name” and even “Bootilicious” and then later with “Irreplaceable” and “Single Ladies”. She doesn’t have a gimmick like Gaga where she plays up her intrest in certain groups to sell records. Her music has define who she is. I am Sasha Fierce has given you a look inside of who she is as an artist. There is plenty of substance there and all throughout Bey’s career. I see plenty of growth in her, vocally, visually and even mentally. Beyonce is a married woman and she has sung about commitment(single ladies) and shown vulnerability (Scared of lonely) and sung about hurt / pain (Resentment) and love (smash into you/Dangerously in love) and joy and who she admires (Daddy). She’s well rounded and never destructive in her music or videos(Bad romance/ Alejandro). The woman is a legend. period.

  46. never lying—-truth teller November 9, 2010

    @MISA
    your 3 categories is negative cause im:
    a bee fan who is keeping it real
    a bee fan who never liked DC to begin with
    a bee fan who realise her potential was grander than DC
    a bee fan who never cared or listen to ashanti/ciara
    a bee fan who want the best for her and wants to see the real her
    a bee fan who came to notice that bee personality almost came out in telephone

    and no im not fat
    but yes im black, full with confidence, dont lack self esteem

    saying those things dont make me hate beyonce, it just shows that i dont have to like everything she represent, guess thats the difference between a fan and a stan….stans are the obsess ones who usually gets possessive

  47. Mimi4rever November 9, 2010

    The most over-rated singer in this era!

    Please die 🙁

  48. BEYONce AMAZING November 9, 2010

    Amazing beauty and talent!

  49. MADD MEN November 9, 2010

    @ROYALKEV
    changing or singing different songs with different meaning whether its ballads or up beat is not a way of saying “yes i’ve grown as an artist or i have changed up my image” cause no mattter what song or album bee puts out its the same image through out, the “good girl image” the same with taylor swift, all her albums are fairy tales and glamor, that doesnt signifies any growth
    for bee is shows growth musically not individually

  50. royalkev November 9, 2010

    @ Madd men , showing growth musically is a huge part of your individual growth. What you choose to sing about reflects what you are all about. Your image and what music you create represents you. Perhaps her “good image” is too unrealistic for you, but for others it’s something positive that sits well with them. it’s not about being perfect, it’s about aspiring to be. I think bey would prefer to be seen as an inspiration, not a someone who dwell on negative things to be “real” or “relatable”.

  51. Blasian November 9, 2010

    THE BEST PERFORMER ALIVE! YOU CAN’T F*** WITH BEYONCE!

  74. Sheesh_BeyStan_Btw November 9, 2010

    Let’s be rel people…no matter what you say, Beyonce will always be on top. No she isn’t at icon status yet. But she will soon me there, if you love her or hater. She’s still better than your favorite artist, so how about you Ciara and Rihanna stans help them make it. Instead of hating on Beyonce because she’s already there.

  103. bob marley reign supreme November 9, 2010

    beyonce is the BIGGEST fake celebrity out there….even that big a$$ she has making everyone believe is huge is fake..i remember her coming to do a show in T&T and at the airport i saw her, she maybe forgot to put her padded b***, cause her b*** was flatter than the crix crackers we produce here, talk about fake
    my legend is bob marley, this girl aint no where close to be an icon

  104. Lyric “Commander” Lee November 9, 2010

    she def on her way to becoming an icon – i can even admit that – id give her 4 more albums to really cement her as the icon ppl are prematurly labeling her as. ill give her to 40 before she really cements herself as an icon – i can def say tho she is the legend of our generation tho – her along with britney ( all the haters can hate but she is) mary j and even gaga after a few more albums and tours and overall growth – our generation def have our select few who by the time we are 40 and 50 will be saying “this is what our gen brought to the table” so just sit back and watch because only time will tell

  105. Beyince :) November 9, 2010

    queenbee ‘nuf said!

  109. iFreakum November 10, 2010

    Earning the respect of ur peers & fans is WAY DIFFERENT than being an actual ICON for the ages! I don’t think she’s there yet. She needs more solo albums to solidify her place! More films (SERIOUS FILMS) and other media s*** that’s NOT child’s play!

  110. Beystanbish November 10, 2010

    Smooches to all you honeybees out there. Y’all rock.

  111. Bee November 10, 2010

    Beyonce is not quite there yet. She needs to put out a few more albums that are of exceptional quality and that are timeless. She also needs to do something different and that stands out more against her peers musically, first to really be seen as an icon or legend. An icon/ legend is a BIG title. It’s not something that you just throw around. She has to contribute something much more to the music industry. In addition, she doesn’t have near the amount of influence that legends and icons have. AT THE MOMENT, she is definitely a very memorable singer and performer.

    tl;dr She still has a ways to go, but is definitely on her way.

  112. pr3ttywild November 10, 2010
