Her next album needs more substance. It needs to leave us w a feel for the real Beyonce. The 29 year old married woman who has grown wise over the last decade needs to show us her maturity and not just another catchy nursery rhyme like tune to just shake our asses to until the next one comes along and replaces it.

she def on her way to becoming an icon – i can even admit that – id give her 4 more albums to really cement her as the icon ppl are prematurly labeling her as. ill give her to 40 before she really cements herself as an icon – i can def say tho she is the legend of our generation tho – her along with britney ( all the haters can hate but she is) mary j and even gaga after a few more albums and tours and overall growth – our generation def have our select few who by the time we are 40 and 50 will be saying “this is what our gen brought to the table” so just sit back and watch because only time will tell

Earning the respect of ur peers & fans is WAY DIFFERENT than being an actual ICON for the ages! I don’t think she’s there yet. She needs more solo albums to solidify her place! More films (SERIOUS FILMS) and other media s*** that’s NOT child’s play!

Beyonce is not quite there yet. She needs to put out a few more albums that are of exceptional quality and that are timeless. She also needs to do something different and that stands out more against her peers musically, first to really be seen as an icon or legend. An icon/ legend is a BIG title. It’s not something that you just throw around. She has to contribute something much more to the music industry. In addition, she doesn’t have near the amount of influence that legends and icons have. AT THE MOMENT, she is definitely a very memorable singer and performer.
tl;dr She still has a ways to go, but is definitely on her way.
