I’ve seen his videos, but his vocals are horrid. Especially “Ridin Solo”…MY GOD it makes my ears bleed and all that autotune doesn’t help. But, I do enjoy his videos. When I say innovative I mean more versatile. Someone who can capture the audience with their voice and still have be an amazing performer.

jason derulo,the guy is Dope.but his style of singing is horrible.He has an amazing voice LIKE WHEN he covered GEORGIA ON MY MIND he was epic.jason derulo is not a bad vocalist its just the way he sings.
I don’t care what you look like. I don’t care whether you can dance. I don’t care if you’re black, white, brown or blue. You’re a singer. This means you need to sing, with your voice. No studio magic, no funky mics, no need for backups. If you can do that then you are worthy to be called a singer.

I agree his “Georgia” rendition was awesome! He stresses too much of a grunt & whine in his vocals, but I still like the guy.

This live performance wasn’t great but he is an excellent artist and his last album was amazing. Don’t bash him just for live songs. His produced songs are very well done and are all hits!
I don’t understand why anyone really likes this guy, I just don’t get it. There is nothing appealing about him as an artist. He makes me feel icky…I haven’t really liked any of the songs he’s done, his first one “Whatcha say” was ok but the original song from Imogen Heap was FAR superior than his sampled version.
I think the kid has lots of talent but uhhh. He always compromises his vocals for his dancing and that pisses me off! His staccato style of singing makes him seem out of breath from the first note. I watch these live performances waiting for the performance improvement , hoping he watched one of his live performances and made the oh so necessary changes but ? I really dislike popular music right now and don’t feel like most don’t give a damn about the quality of stuff as much anymore. We are in the dark ages of music ( have been for the last couple of years) with a few bright spots.
