Kim’s last interview was in April so why bring everything up now? Nicky squashed everything on stage at the Awards a while ago and then she dropped romans revenge and other subliminal songs, Kim went to Queens and spoke her mind. Nicky is using this as a promotional thing for her album, so who’s really trying to pull out the relevant card? because Nicky album is getting horrible reviews. Lets look at the bigger picture.

Finally Nicki actually addressed Kim BY NAME! I feel as if everything Nicki said was on point but Nicki BETTER become some sort of Icon because if she is anything less, Kim wins. I think she finally had a enough of Lil Kim talking trash about her… this beef came outta nowhere & mostly its been Kim doing all the talking. Ppl have wanted Nicki to respond back for the longest, whether or not this a marketing tool to generate more sales for her album, but i still think it was time for her to respond back & i’m so glad she did that.
I always thought Kim was very bitter about the fact that Nicki was getting shine & many ppl compared her to Kim, i always thought she was this generation’s version of Lil Kim. And Kim was using that as a platform to get her name back out there & ppl fall for it, just like they did with the 50 Cent & Ja Rule beef. Though i think ppl are way smarter now than they were back then & realize that there is always 2 sides a story, 3 sides if you include the unbridal truth.
Kim wants to focus on this beef more than Nicki has & the truth is, Kim has released no music in the past 5 years & shows no signs of releasing any new material. And Nicki told the truth, the only time you do see or hear about Kim nowadays & as matter of fact for the past 4 years since she’s been out of jail is when she’s getting @ somebody. I like Kim, i really do, but this entire beef is foolish on her part!

Kim allows interviewers to ask her about her relationship with Biggie, even though Biggie’s son has to hear that shit. I just went back and listened to some of Kim’s interviews. And I THEN compared those, to THIS ‘Nicki interview’. I can now see why some folks had said that Kim didn’t write her own material, at least, not her “better-known more-popular material!”
With Nicki, on the other hand, what we just heard, was someone who had an itch, and was just only now, able to scratch; and, OH BOY — did she EVER get satisfaction!
It’s not until tonight, not until listening to this interview that I’m now convinced, Nicki writes her very-own material! Nicki is very fluid, wide-ranging and far-exceeding with her use of language: THAT BITCH CAN WRITE/RAP…!!! NICKI IS A STAR!!
And after reading ALL OF THE COMMENTS, those that came to Kim’s defense/those that (attempted to) “go-in on” Nicki, given the “hoarseness in those voices”, I think it’s safe to say, “Nicki hurt ‘em real bad: she struck some sort of nerve..!!”
… Long-story short:

NOW on to Pink Friday: I must say that Nicki is doing the right thing for her career by making her album a mixture of POP and Hip-Hop, because in this climate of music if she was to make an all out hip-hop album is could be destined to fail as her audience wouldn’t be broad enough and there’s not been a female rapper sooo hyped since the days of Kim & Fox then Missy.
Not every sound and direction is catered to just R&B/Hip-Hop fan but the messages in the songs are.
As much i would like a more hardcore Nicki Minaj album i think it’s not quite the time 4her to do that as there are NO other females to push the males, and with her doing it this way it may set a trend for other female rappers to tap into.

It took Hardcore six months to go platinum and five years to go double-platinum in the days that music sold well. Yall act like Hardcore came out the gate with platinum status:

Now dont get me wrong I love looking and Nicki cause she is absolutely stunning but to be honest with you (I hate ALL her singles out now) whos to say she will be on the billboard for a very long time. People are intrigued by her looks and she is interesting, i mean their is no other female rappers out now. Hell to be honest Kim (even though she looks quite disturbing now) she had a nice run. More than what I can say about the newer women rappers. I believe everyone has their time but one thing you dont want to do is get to comfortable on being the hot thing because next thing you know someone will say the same to her. Its all a territorial thing, everyone wants to stay relevent and be the best. Otherwise, whats the purpose

Ok let me set everything straight. 1st of for angie martinez to sit and do that interview and let nicki diss kim like that she lost mad cool points with me. Now nicki how you doing that he said she said crap you are grown your going to blow foxy up after she told you something instead of standing on your own 2 feet shame on you. Who cares if she goes platium can she put out a classic album like Kim that’s when she will earn my respect sisqo has a platium album where is he now. Lil kim is the only female that when you mention top 10 classic albums you mention hardcore. Nicki needs to worry about putting out a classic album kim 1st album is a classic that’s when you arrived. Nicki Minaj made some very great points in this audio, because as far as her Beam Me Up Scottie Days, she’s always been paying homage to Lil Kim saying that she was inspired by her, then out of nowhere I hear that Lil Kim was dissing her. People keep talkin bout Nicki Minaj is being disrespectful but, I look at it like this, Lil Kim is disrespecting her so she has the right to say something back, they are both grown so I don’t understand why everything is all “loddy Dotty” until Nicki has something to say.! Right, Lil Kim was hot (back in the day?) but after the Jumpoff, she was garbage…And people keep on saying that Nicki has alot of work to do before she can meet the achievements of Lil Kim, well she did a show in Philly and I was there and the crowd went BIZZARRE.! She has had more songs on the billboard charts than ANY OTHER ARTIST.! So in my opinion she’s doing just fine.! Oh, and one more thing, to the guy that used Michael Jackson and Chris Brown as an example, you’re dumb because first of all if ANYBODY dissed Mj, there career would be done, and Michael Jackson wasn’t hating off of Chris Brown…he loved Chris Brown…I said my piece and I’m DONE.!

@jasmine correct. Nicki Minaj is all over billboard whether its her single or someone elses. She clearly has more songs with her name on billboard than most female rappers had their whole entire careers. In one single year.
2nd point- The line “did I kill a queen- the Alexander Mcqueens” was just talking about her killer shoe game. Some ofyou read way too much in that line. Shes killin the Alexander Mcqueens shes wearing.
3rd point- “Sorry lil mamma youre a 3 star!” that line on 5 star chick was not a diss to lil mama the rapper. Lil mama is what people call other females. I guess she was talking about lil mama when she said ” excuse me little mama but u can say im on duty, looking for a cutie a real big ole ghetto booty!” was to lil mama too huh lol. what reason would she have to go at some lil mama.
Romans revenge and the lines in Check it out, and the Keyshia Cole song were clearly about lil kim. Nicki sounded crazy when she kept denying it. It really made her look stupid but now that she clears it up, it’s much more respectable and she shut lil kim completely down. I don’t see how its a publicity stunt at all. Kim brought it on herself.

and another thing some of you don’t listen. Foxy had nothing to do with her decision to go at lil kim through music. If you heard her she said Foxy asked her why she kept showing Kim love when kim didn’t even like her. Nicki said she didn’t pay much attention to what Kim was saying cuz she was such a lil kim fan so she still kept showing Kim love. Kim was the one that started blasting Nicki on shows and stuff and so Foxy was right all along.

I just dont think she should be mad cuz the bigger nicki gets the bigger kim gets cuz we gon know where some of nickis style came from. Kim had her moment of fame so now its time to step aside and let somebody else have a go. Nicki aint gon be at the top forever jus like Kim, remmy, and every other female rappers. Somebody new is always comin into the game and somebody gon have to be the bigger person and step aside for someone else. We all gon remember you as the queen and nicki the barbie.
