Rihanna and Eminem’s ‘Love The Way You Lie (Part 2)’ has surfaced. The song will be included on the Bajan’s upcoming album, ‘Loud’, amongst 10 other tracks of her elephant calls. Give it a listen below:
This song provided one of the rare instances where I didn’t wish Rihanna would be quiet like Shy Ronnie. She kept her appalling vocals in check (for the most part) and sounded acceptable in her soft falsetto. Eminem did his thing as well and delivered a powerful verse.
It seems that the quieter Rihanna tries to sing the less offensive she sounds. My ears rejoice.

If you REALLY listen to the words. Eminem’s role is like Chris Brown’s and Rihanna’s is autobiography. The song is saying she didn’t get beat but she FOUGHT and she fought to feel something , that’s why she sang maybe I’m a masochist. I think Rihanna leaves ‘ Chris isn’t the only guilty one” messages in songs and interviews and people overlook it. It’s a not so overt confession.

I don’t have a problem with her studio voice. Provided it is properly edited (like on this song and What’s My Name), she actually sounds good. It’s when she sings LIVE that all hell breaks loose. I’ve always said that this song would have been a million times better with Hayley Williams or Florence Welch, at least those two women can actually sing live, and they have red hair as well, in case Eminem was only interested in a Wilma Flintstone look-a-like.
And what’s up with the stupid “exclusive world premiere” going on in the background?

Anywho, she didn’t sound bad at all on here. She should sing like this more often and not try reach notes she knows she could never reach. We’ll see if she can handle it live.
Eminem verse was really powerful, but he scares the hell out of me! He speaks from the point of view of an abuser so well, I wonder why *side eye* He seems so angry all the time in his raps, I wonder if he could ever be in a stable relationship. *shrugs*

The song is hot and hopefully this is the last song we hear from her about domestic violence. To all the shocked people people, you all knew she was coming out with a part 2! Or did you not hear her say it interviews? Did you not see it on her Track Listing? Did you not see the blog postings about it? The song is hot and Rihanna sounds great!
P.S
Everybody knows Rihanna can actually sing live, its up to her to put up the effort and sometimes she doesnt. Yes she may need a couple of singing lessons to get her voice up to part but she still has a voice! One day she will blow you all away and you will be speechless! *LOVE*

I agree with KS…ppl need to start listening to her words rather than the quality of her voice…which btw isn’t bad at all….the song fits her. Anyway..the song clearly states the dysfunctionalism in their relationship was twosided…basically Rih is confessing in her music to how their relationship was exascerbated. But through it all…she still sees CB as her hero. It says in the song the battles are what satisfied her. But the love is still there…otherwise why would she use the song on her album…Its creatively written to tell another part of her story…I actually love it better than the first. Em’s part prolly told a combination of his and Rihs relationships. You guys need to start paying attention….those two still have a lot of love for each other….Listen to their music.

This is pretty good, Decent, Cute whatever…
& I will Admit that it was Rihanna not Eminem that sold the song making it go from what would have been your Typical, Bland generic EM Song to being DECENT, The song still had NO BUSINESS going #1 & especially not for no damn 10 Weeks. & I also must say Em is OVERRATED as Fuck & all HYPE just like Lil Wayne in the Urban World. Ive been saying that theres nothing attractive about Em’s Voice, like he will spit His Verse He’ll Spit his Verse & 10 Seconds later you cant Recall a single word he said. It all goes out one ear & out the other (hes a good rapper though, Jay & Kanye’s Better) which is why I say rih carried the song.
Anyway as for Rihs Version, This isnt her style of Singing at all, She sounds like shes mimicking some underground Falsetto singer to me…. All in all though, Both Versions are GENERIC, theres just nothing special about this song IMO.

My radio will be turn off for the next few months because I know what is going to be playing on it, and I can’t bring my self to listen to her voice.
For has Chris Brown and Rihanna being together, he would have a lot to think about, Chris Brown was already instigated in the devil shit before and Rihanna is heavily into it, you can’t google her name with out baphomat appearing. LOL!
Rihanna is what she is and Def Jem has spent more money and bought more hits for her than any other artist.
For has Rihanna talking about that night, she has done little to nothing to defend Chris Brown and she does not have too! There is more to the story that has not been told and all the singing in the world by Rihanna is not enough to explain the event, she is only doing this to promote her self and her music, how cleaver.

So leave #1′s out of this and concentrate on her having one of the most admirable careers of her peers. Kelly, ciara, kerri, melonie fiona, all of them wish they could be in rihanna’s shoes right now. And about the song. It was a nice soft version of the original. REALLY? Um, no ma’am. Rihanna CANNOT sing live and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that she’s much better in the studio. Rihanna is strictly a studio artist and in some cases that STILL doesn’t help her like the first version in which she was horrible IMO. Her voice was way too hard for the song and it didn’t fit the song AT ALL. However, this is MUCH better because it’s subtle and actually conveys the message. Trent and Sam have nothing to do with MY OWN opinion about how Rihanna sounds. To me, she just can’t sing but if she does sound the least bit decent I will say so. You’re trying too hard, boo. Just face the fact the Trent and Sam are not the only ones that think the way they do. FYI: sometimes I think they can go overboard with the shade on Rihanna but we all know, including you stans, what this site is all about ULTIMATE RIHANNA SHADE.

@Skippy
She stated before the song came out that she was going to tell her version. Now you tell what which one of her boyfriends is she not talking about. Part one was about him and now she is telling her part. You just don’t want to believe it because she is saying that she was apart of that incident also. This shit is propably on this girls mind and it’s been there ever since the incident. But GREED will make you do alot of ugly things. Tell me where is Chris MUGSHOT why are they hidding it? I could see an so can other people that something is bothering her by the way she looks with that sad look on her lying ass face. Now you can say what you want because I see you are evil just like her. But one day this shit that eating at her ass will come to light I could see it already. I know the truth hurts but it’s there in that DAMN song.

IM SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ISNT IT A BIT WEIRD THAT EMINEM IS RAPPING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON A RIHANNA SONG????
SOMETHINGS JUST NOT RIGHT….I MEAN FIRSTLY HES RAPPING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SECONDLY ON SOMEONE WHO WAS JUST BADLY BEATEN BY A MAN!!!!
**********************************
No, your concern should be that EMINEM BEAT HIS WIFE FOR MANY YEARS and now he has 2 MORE songs discussing his ABUSE OF HIS WIFE, KIM MATHERS! Eminem’s been rapping about domestic violence for years! That fact is nothing new! He has several songs discussing KILLING HIS WIFE, CUTTING HER UP AND PLACING HER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA! The problem should be that this MAN IS A SERIAL WIFE BEATER YET THE MEDIA SAYS NOTHING ABOUT HIM & HIS LONG-STANDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HISTORY!
…………But hey, it’ll be a #1 hit so isn’t that what really matters?

Rihanna shld jst shut up btw i can bet my life on it that they not gonna dare make this a single or have the nerve to make a video. Why? It’s pointless. Rihanna is obviously the type that just won’t shut up. shut up and preserve your relationship goddamit. Thats why she got beat in the first place, she just won’t shut her trap up. Anyone whose smart knows that even if they try to work on this relationship again it would still fail because there is too much going on. Two much drama damn not even a good look. They keep making songs cause people wanna hear it trust me so thats why she and chris gonna make them cause trust me chris gonna make his own too saying “Yeah am over you blah blah blah” which i knw is stupid but his gonna make em anywayz cos thats what people wanna hear and am getting tired of it already damn infact they both need to shut up lol

When will she stop milking the damn incident… I wonder what will happen next year if she release a new cd… Start a interview saying that she jumped to soon in the relationship with Matt Kemp and then it will go into saying that it was because of the horrible relationship that I had with CB, that it didn’t work and I couldn’t give my all in all!!!

People please, Eminem is a white man and get’s a pass, just like Charlie Sheen. But let it be a black man and they will talk about until the Lord come back on that cloud.

@Shit
You really should not say that Rihanna can’t sing. That’s completely opinion-based. A better statement would be that YOU think she cannot sing well. Overgeneralizing is a complete fallacy and illogical. Also, Rihanna can’t sing everything but she can sing some things. All artists have their high and low points. I know people who think that Beyonce cannot sing to save her life.
My opinions:
For example, Beyonce can sing really anything but her contralto is lacking. Katy Perry can’t (like P!nk) take her voice very high – they’re stuck at a contralto range. Ke$ha is…well, you know. And Lady Gaga doesn’t have a great falsetto. And Rihanna does best with her falsetto, well with her soprano but her contralto isn’t even close to good.
Songs like “Te Amo”, “Umbrella”, “What’s My Name” and this fit her voice. Songs like “Only Girl (In the World)” don’t. I just find it extremely funny how people say that she cannot sing at all (overgeneralizations are irritating to me) but that she, only a year ago, was promoting “Russian Roulette” with live performances where she clearly was on pitch and sang well (at least to me).

@ RiriLoud
You make a good observation. But I’d say that Rihanna sounds “decent” when she picks songs crafted for her specific vocal type and vocal range. Anyone can sound “decent” if the song fits their voice.
That isn’t a person who can “sing” at the level that is expected of a professional entertainer.

@AuntieJackie
At the same time, she’s being smart and choosing songs which accentuate her will. Imagine what her image would be like if she tried to make an album of “Only Girl”‘s. And also, some things are incapable. You could train Ke$ha forever but I don’t think she’d ever have an amazingly capable voice.

I really don’t see any different between Ke$ha and Rihanna both artist songs are tailored to fit their voices. Why else would they put the two together? Both are studio singers at best.

@Skippy: Are you really that stupid? Well you obviously are! Of course the song is about CB! (Just like Em’s verse from both songs is about his ex Kim) Who the hell else would it be about?? Did some other dude whip her ass and we just don’t know about it?? Perhaps Matt? Why would she re make ‘that’ song about DV and put it on her album if it wasn’t personal to her??
You heard her right, your lil princess just said in a song, ‘ …but you’ll always be my HERO, even though you lost your mind’. She basically saying she has forgiven him and he will always have a special place in her heart, even though he hurt, literally and figuratively! Face it, if Rihanna wasn’t worried about her career and the backlash from fans and the mainstream media she would still be with him today! She is still in love with him! Matt is just a stand in! “California King Bed’ is about him also! Her music is a way of her expressing herself, but she is not really over it!
She basically admitted in the song (and hinted at it in numerous interviews including 20/20) that it was a volatile relationship on both ends! Listen to it when she says the word ‘masochrist’. That means 1) the deriving of pleasure, or the tendency to derive pleasure, from being humiliated or mistreated, either by another or by oneself.
2). A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences
Rihanna got off on pushing CB’s buttons and getting a rise out of him because she loved the sexual gratification of it later. Listen to CB’s ‘Talk That Shit’, I totally believe that song is about her too! They would yell and scream and FIGHT each other and then have crazy make up sex later! She was just as much abusive to CB, it’s just her abuse went unnoticed and got over shadowed by him that night!
Didn’t ya’ll say that ‘Rated R’ was her best album yet?? Well, ya’ll should be thanking CB because he was the inspiration behind her ‘deep and personal album’. Almost every damn song was about him! ‘Cold Case Love’ (love that one), “Stupid In Love’, ‘The Last Song’, ‘ Photographs’, ‘Firebomb’ (that one too, even though she sounded horrible when she performed it live and almost ruined it for me) ‘Russian Roulette’. Hell even ‘Rude Boy’, you know CB was keeping her satisfied in that department!
By the way…still waiting on CB’s mugshot! Almost two years and still no sign of it! Interesting…

What the heeezie… Rihanna can have a seat with this bs. and how many times have we heard the story from her side: let’s see there was the 20/20 interview where they were in love but “equally” dangerous to each other, then there was the he made me feel bad and said bad stuff to me, then “i needed that wake call” and now we have “i loved the drama that ‘s what satisfied me”. bitch pls she coulda said that shyt 10 mths ago instead of watching Chris go thru hell and back knowing that she was just as involved in the triflin behavior going on in that relationship as he was. Rihanna is a effin disgrace to women in general but particulaily to the real victims of DV.
@so obvious love your comment cosign 100…especially about Matt she calls him “easy” meaning too damn easy, no challenge whatsoever and boring as hell, she likes drama and living on the edge…hope he last tho.

one more thing…I hope Chris has gotten her completely out of his system and truly wants to move on to something better, he deserves better than that spinless troll. I mean what kind of woman would watch her man go thru all he went thru and just sit quiet when you know you are just as responsible. I can agree that yes he went too far and hell maybe he did have a moment of temp. insanity but that’s the chance you take when you open Pandora’s box. Both of them seeing grown folks hit each other growing up should have never went down that road cause sometimes you just don’t know how deep a thing runs.
