New Song: Rihanna – ‘Love The Way You Lie (Part 2) (Ft. Eminem)’

Published: Wednesday 3rd Nov 2010 by Trent

Rihanna and Eminem’s ‘Love The Way You Lie (Part 2)’ has surfaced. The song will be included on the Bajan’s upcoming album, ‘Loud’, amongst 10 other tracks of her elephant calls. Give it a listen below:

This song provided one of the rare instances where I didn’t wish Rihanna would be quiet like Shy Ronnie. She kept her appalling vocals in check (for the most part) and sounded acceptable in her soft falsetto. Eminem did his thing as well and delivered a powerful verse.

It seems that the quieter Rihanna tries to sing the less offensive she sounds. My ears rejoice.

She sounds f****** great, sit down Trent!

    Wow I’m so in loveeee…..beautiful.

  2. sublime00 November 3, 2010

Her falsetto was kinda cute, but this album isn’t gonna do much of anything. Can’t believe shes NEVER had a #1 album.. She should just release singles and save everyone the trouble.

  3. AKisdabest November 3, 2010

she sounds decent on the track

  4. Heir November 3, 2010

she sounds ok, the song is nothin spectacular tho

  5. PLEASE LISTEN November 3, 2010

    IM SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ISNT IT A BIT WEIRD THAT EMINEM IS RAPPING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON A RIHANNA SONG????

SOMETHINGS JUST NOT RIGHT….I MEAN FIRSTLY HES RAPPING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SECONDLY ON SOMEONE WHO WAS JUST BADLY BEATEN BY A MAN!!!!!!!!

  6. marquest November 3, 2010

  7. That Cranberry Sauce November 3, 2010

    *long, deep sigh*

I can’t even hate on Rihwhore right now.

She sounds good for literally the first time in ever.

    Like it.

  8. Cameron November 3, 2010

Wow!…She does sound Great! as well as Eminem. I can listen to this version all the way through, the 1st one I liked but didn’t Love but this one I Love.

  9. Cameron November 3, 2010

@ PLEASE LISTEN…That’s the whole focus of the song(Domestic Violence), didn’t YOU LISTEN?

  10. annie! :] November 3, 2010

i like it better then the first! i don’t like Rihanna but this version is really good!

side note: i heard her album leaked… anyone know where i can download it?

  11. scorpio November 3, 2010

    No #1 album ANYTIME SOON!

  12. LITTLE MONSTER November 3, 2010

    I LOVE RIHANNA <3333333333

And i wish ppl would stop going on about her not having a #1 album. She's had a #1 album in over 25 countries. The only reason she doesn't have one in the US is because she always releases with heavy Christmas monster-sellers (see: Susan Boyle).

Rihanna is still amazing and i cant wait for LOUD <333

  13. CG GIRL November 3, 2010

Sounds just like the first one, she just has more of a role. Guys the script is flip-same song basically. It sounds melancholy and bland . I’m not crazy about it. I can’t see how she expects her album to sell, if she keeps releasing songs that are not that great!

  14. Jay Jay November 3, 2010

Sounds good but i hope she doesnt perform this live lol

  15. BENJAMIN November 3, 2010

It sounds ok. But I am really getting SICK of this song, along with Em’s domestic violent voice.

  16. CIARADABESS November 3, 2010

She? Don’t you mean the computer and layer system the used on her voice.

    She sounded great my ass.

  17. AAS November 3, 2010

Is it just me or are his Rihanna “jokes” getting worse and worse. Maybe we should making a jokes about his calls..

  18. scorpio November 3, 2010

Them STUDIO VOCALS I tell ya! LMFAO!

  19. the kiddz November 3, 2010

Ugh. I hate when she uses her falsetto. But, this was real good. This feels more genuine from the first.

  20. Ronlo November 3, 2010

I love it!! Where can I download?!?!

  21. Traci Summers November 3, 2010

ask her to sing this raw acapella without the backing of a computer

  22. KS November 3, 2010

If you REALLY listen to the words. Eminem’s role is like Chris Brown’s and Rihanna’s is autobiography. The song is saying she didn’t get beat but she FOUGHT and she fought to feel something , that’s why she sang maybe I’m a masochist. I think Rihanna leaves ‘ Chris isn’t the only guilty one” messages in songs and interviews and people overlook it. It’s a not so overt confession.

  23. AKisdabest November 3, 2010

and i wish she would move on from this domestic incident

  24. True Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Blue November 3, 2010

I don’t have a problem with her studio voice. Provided it is properly edited (like on this song and What’s My Name), she actually sounds good. It’s when she sings LIVE that all hell breaks loose. I’ve always said that this song would have been a million times better with Hayley Williams or Florence Welch, at least those two women can actually sing live, and they have red hair as well, in case Eminem was only interested in a Wilma Flintstone look-a-like.

And what’s up with the stupid “exclusive world premiere” going on in the background?

  25. karli November 3, 2010

this is probaly the goodest comment trent has ever made of rihanna … shock i tell you shock… remeber this day it may never happen again…

trent please come back…..nice song though wish her the best

  26. GangsterA November 3, 2010

I LOVE IT SHE SOUND GREAT I EMINEM VERSE IS HOT I WONDER WHO WROTE MAKEBA AND RIHANNA OR SOME ONE ELSE ? ANYONE KNOW

  27. scorpio November 3, 2010

    I’m sorry but “goodest”?

  30. CiaraMedlies November 3, 2010

    can anyone say…..FLOP-OLA BURGER! #Fail

  31. MB November 3, 2010

This was cool but why is Eminem always YELLING??? He’s soo annoying.

He needs to switch up his style. Overrated!

  32. Heaven November 3, 2010

    that s*** is garbage. #thatisall

  33. Heaven November 3, 2010

Even with the studio voice she cracks. It’ is a confession but you have to get through it to concentrate on the damn lyrics. He’s still her hero?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Still feening for the d***. wow who knew?

    garbage.

  34. AuntieJackie November 3, 2010

    Wow! She sounded great.

It reminded me a lot of ‘Dido’ on ‘Stan’, another Monster hit for Eminem.

The girl can’t sing for s***, but this works for her. It makes her voice sound ethereal and beautiful. If someone else who could really sing sang it, it would be even better.

  35. keepingitreal November 3, 2010

    Just okay nothing grand breaking

  36. RiRiLOUD November 3, 2010

Better than the original. I’m glad Rihanna’s doing more songs that fit her voice. She really needs to avoid songs like “Only Girl” which just don’t suit her voice.

  37. Get Em Bish November 3, 2010

I would really love to see Rihanna on the street so I can tell her how horrible she sounds.

*somebody has to tell her right*

  38. MABSRBFLUER November 3, 2010

MY GIRRRRRRRRL!!! KEEP IT UP, SO WHAT IF SHE’S NEVA HAD A NUMBA 1 ALBUM, IVE LISTENED AND ENJOYED RIRI FROM THE PON DE REPLAY DAYS, UMBRELLA, LIVE UR LIFE, SHES JUST ALWAYS MADE ME SMILE, WE ARE NOT PRODUCERS OUR JOB IS NOT TO LOOK AT HOW MUCH SHES SELLING OR WHATNOT, WE R SUPPOSED TO B HER FANS, ENJOYING THE MUSIC AND ENCOURAGING HER, HOW MANY OF U CAN EVEN ATTEMPT TO WALK ON A LIVE STAGE AND SING……NONE…..SO GIVE IT A REST AND ENJOY THE MUSIC DAMMIT……OH NA NA WHATS MY NAME WHATS MY NAME WHATS MY NAAAAAAAAAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  39. Real Tea November 3, 2010

How is this Part 2? it sounds exactly the same as part one just with extra lyrics. Her voice doesnt sound too bad in it, but this song is so boring………..Eminem’s part is the only energetic part in this whole song.

  40. Goat_Hanna love da Banana November 3, 2010

Not too bad I was expecting a trainwreck and got a slight migrain. Hmm… if there is a copy of this floating around some where I may listen to this a bit more. Not gonna spend my hard earned money on this though.

  41. VA STAND UP!! November 3, 2010

@KS: I totally agree! She has been doing that for a while now, but people just don’t pick up on it. They only hear what they want to hear instead of what she is saying.

Anywho, she didn’t sound bad at all on here. She should sing like this more often and not try reach notes she knows she could never reach. We’ll see if she can handle it live.

Eminem verse was really powerful, but he scares the hell out of me! He speaks from the point of view of an abuser so well, I wonder why *side eye* He seems so angry all the time in his raps, I wonder if he could ever be in a stable relationship. *shrugs*

    The original was better though.

  42. bebe November 3, 2010

    @CIARADABESS
And Ciaras vocals dont need studio manipulation? hahahahaha dont make me laugh you fool!

  43. ShawtyHellaDumb November 3, 2010

I love it. Her voice sounds great as always. I feel as if the song is a confession also but I dont want to bring that up. The song is hot and hopefully this is the last song we hear from her about domestic violence. To all the shocked people people, you all knew she was coming out with a part 2! Or did you not hear her say it interviews? Did you not see it on her Track Listing? Did you not see the blog postings about it? The song is hot and Rihanna sounds great!

    P.S
Everybody knows Rihanna can actually sing live, its up to her to put up the effort and sometimes she doesnt. Yes she may need a couple of singing lessons to get her voice up to part but she still has a voice! One day she will blow you all away and you will be speechless! *LOVE*

  44. truth November 3, 2010

I agree with KS…ppl need to start listening to her words rather than the quality of her voice…which btw isn’t bad at all….the song fits her. Anyway..the song clearly states the dysfunctionalism in their relationship was twosided…basically Rih is confessing in her music to how their relationship was exascerbated. But through it all…she still sees CB as her hero. It says in the song the battles are what satisfied her. But the love is still there…otherwise why would she use the song on her album…Its creatively written to tell another part of her story…I actually love it better than the first. Em’s part prolly told a combination of his and Rihs relationships. You guys need to start paying attention….those two still have a lot of love for each other….Listen to their music.

  45. kw November 3, 2010

Rhi did a nice job on this track. This song I can listen to over and over. Will def be purchasing the album in Nov.

  46. BLAck November 3, 2010

is okay, thats it, nothing to run the hills over…

  47. Asia November 3, 2010

I DNT KNOW…ALL I KNOW IS THE SONG IS BORING ASS F*** I HAD KEEP GOING BACK BECAUSE I KEPT TUNING OUT…BUT YEAH IF YOU LISTEN SHE DOES TELL THE PART SHE PLAYED IN THEIR “DRAMA”…HER AND CHRIS NEED TO GONE GET BACK TOGETHER F*** WHAT THE NEXT PERSON THINK….EMINEM KILLED HIS PART IF IT WASNT FOR HIM THE SONG WOULD OF BEEN DEAD…..PLUS EMINEM LIKE THAT KIND OF MUSIC HE ALWAYS GO CRAZY ON HIS WIFE [KIM] IN HIS MUSIC.

  48. MUSIC LOVER November 3, 2010

I loved the original and I love part 2! It probably won’t be released as a s single, but hey this songs suits her so much better than “Only Girl.”

  49. S*** November 3, 2010

This is pretty good, Decent, Cute whatever…

& I will Admit that it was Rihanna not Eminem that sold the song making it go from what would have been your Typical, Bland generic EM Song to being DECENT, The song still had NO BUSINESS going #1 & especially not for no damn 10 Weeks. & I also must say Em is OVERRATED as F*** & all HYPE just like Lil Wayne in the Urban World. Ive been saying that theres nothing attractive about Em’s Voice, like he will spit His Verse He’ll Spit his Verse & 10 Seconds later you cant Recall a single word he said. It all goes out one ear & out the other (hes a good rapper though, Jay & Kanye’s Better) which is why I say rih carried the song.

Anyway as for Rihs Version, This isnt her style of Singing at all, She sounds like shes mimicking some underground Falsetto singer to me…. All in all though, Both Versions are GENERIC, theres just nothing special about this song IMO.

  50. THE ONE November 3, 2010

    OVERPRODUCED AND UNDER-SUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  51. S*** November 3, 2010

    The Original= Decent/OK ~2.9/5

    Part 2 = Tad Bit Better, Still Generic/Boring ~3.1/5

  52. Kelly November 3, 2010

I don’t hate it, but it has been done already. I think it would have been better, if at all, to release both versions at the same time early this year. At this point, I am ready for the new music from Rihanna taking her to another level or different place than she has been during the last year+. So Rihanna and Em, it is time to move forward into the next level of your lives. As a fan I am ready for the next step forward not back.

  53. oralanthony November 3, 2010

    love it

  54. Beyonce OWNS. your Fav. November 3, 2010

    YAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

    *Blast whip my Hair*

  55. Orange November 3, 2010

Hmm the original was a lot better. This is kinda boring.

  56. UGh November 3, 2010

the song sounds okay but too much like the original. I thought i would’ve sounded different. I won’t be downloading it and i really don’t see this song going anywhere.
All she needs to do now is keep away from songs like Only Girl.

  57. UGh November 3, 2010

    @ TRUTH & KS

you guys are right but ppl don’t seem to listen. this was even apparent in her 20/20 interview. it’s the children that flood the bogs with their stupidity.

  58. Landen November 3, 2010

I See It Being HUGE! Dont know what anyone else is saying.

Rih Spoke Directly to Chris in this just as he spoke Directly to

her in Dueces, and you can tell she puts alot of blame on herself

too. Its Evident in the song.

  59. ADE November 3, 2010

I also see it being huge! I like it a lot, Rihanna’s vocals are good on this and Eminem killed his verse. Maybe this song should close the LOUD era? And why oh why are C-Error stans here calling anything or anyone a flop? Pot Kettle Black…?

  60. ADE November 3, 2010

And I don’t get how people are complaining that it sounds exactly like the original when Alicia Key’s part 2 of Empire state of Mind sounded exactly like the original but more stripped back and piano driven…just like this one, yet no one complained about that?

  61. RosaRubbel November 3, 2010

I really like it, it’s way better than the original (the vocals & less rap).

  62. Blue Kid November 3, 2010

I’m so threw with Rihanna who has to have a d*** all the time, I can’t, I can’t bring my self to listen to anything she sings anymore.
This will be a hit on the radio know doubt and Eminem fans will sure to follow behind this song.
My radio will be turn off for the next few months because I know what is going to be playing on it, and I can’t bring my self to listen to her voice.

For has Chris Brown and Rihanna being together, he would have a lot to think about, Chris Brown was already instigated in the devil s*** before and Rihanna is heavily into it, you can’t google her name with out baphomat appearing. LOL!

Rihanna is what she is and Def Jem has spent more money and bought more hits for her than any other artist.

For has Rihanna talking about that night, she has done little to nothing to defend Chris Brown and she does not have too! There is more to the story that has not been told and all the singing in the world by Rihanna is not enough to explain the event, she is only doing this to promote her self and her music, how cleaver.

  63. Blue Kid November 3, 2010

And yes I heard what she said on 20/20, very cleaver how they broke up the interview. The only thing I ever said was I’m glade she did not appear on Oprah because I despise Oprah.

  64. Blue Kid November 3, 2010

I hope you able bodied Americans went out and voted yesterday, it was more important than this.

No I will say this a miss ..It”s part 2 but sound totally different than the first song..It sounds if they got high in a basement and recorded it with low end technology..

    Rihanna ,Eminem Please Try Again

  67. Lioness November 3, 2010

another song she cant sing live.

i enjoyed the chorus, but it is not a hit in my book and im sick of the dv junk.

its like all she has to talk about is cb or fashion. im over it.

  68. lakstar November 3, 2010

  70. ~aMaZiNG.Lee~ November 3, 2010

I LOVE this! She sounded REALLY good here. She sounded like she was more into the lyrics and emotion of the song as oppose to the first one where it sounded more rushed.

Her studio voice ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS trumps her live voice which is her ACTUAL voice. No technology can assist you when singing live and that’s why most people say she CAN’T sing because she can’t sing live.

    Anyways, Part two>>>>>>>>Part one

  71. 2BAD2BME November 3, 2010

SAM AND TRENT YOU HATE TO SAY SHE IS BETTER THAN YOU SAY HATERS GO BACK ON THEIR WORDS AND ADMIT IT

  73. I & I (yardie style) November 3, 2010

It started off ok then her voice got really annoying. I am now convinced more than ever than my “rihanna’s voice tolerance level” stops at about 1 min 30 secs. It was not bad but it was not good either. Taylor Momsen/Pretty Reckless version I love.

  74. Robier November 3, 2010

  75. WHAT IS THIS November 3, 2010

Woohoo!!! WHAT’S MY NAME is #1 on US ITUNES!!! CONGRATS RIRI

  76. DANA November 3, 2010

Oh hell!! you people are on here talking about her voice but I hear more in this song that meet the eye. I see her trying to tell that she was much a part of the incident that night as Chris. But her fans don’t want to hear what she is saying in THIS SONG. You Rihanna fans when you buy her CD you listen to the words closely. Well I think that the industry got a whole of her and made up this story about the incident. This is why Chris mugshot was never shown. But this song is to little to late the world has a different outlook of Chris now. And that song won’t get it she would have to do more.

Anyway Em part was sound so mean and loud. You can tell by most of his song that he is no stranger to DV because he sings about it so well.

  77. skippy November 3, 2010

nobody said this song was about CB so why bring him up? And Gaga never had a number 1 album either, and that has never stopped her from continuing to be a successful act. So leave #1’s out of this and concentrate on her having one of the most admirable careers of her peers. Kelly, ciara, kerri, melonie fiona, all of them wish they could be in rihanna’s shoes right now. And about the song. It was a nice soft version of the original. But haters are always going to try to bring negative ish. But at least Trent kept it real this time. Kudos to him.

  78. GROW UP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! November 3, 2010

THE ONLY REASON Y HALF OF THE REGULAR HATERS ARE SAYING SHE SOUNDS OK IS BECAUSE YOUR MASTERS TRENT AND SAM TOLD U SHE SOUNDS OK.

I agree with you 100%, it’s all a little to late!

  80. Truth November 3, 2010

Skippy if u even for one min think this song isn’t about CB then ur more delusional than I thought…SIT!

  81. ~aMaZiNG.Lee~ November 3, 2010

    @Grow Up Please!!!

REALLY? Um, no ma’am. Rihanna CANNOT sing live and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that she’s much better in the studio. Rihanna is strictly a studio artist and in some cases that STILL doesn’t help her like the first version in which she was horrible IMO. Her voice was way too hard for the song and it didn’t fit the song AT ALL. However, this is MUCH better because it’s subtle and actually conveys the message. Trent and Sam have nothing to do with MY OWN opinion about how Rihanna sounds. To me, she just can’t sing but if she does sound the least bit decent I will say so. You’re trying too hard, boo. Just face the fact the Trent and Sam are not the only ones that think the way they do. FYI: sometimes I think they can go overboard with the shade on Rihanna but we all know, including you stans, what this site is all about ULTIMATE RIHANNA SHADE.

  82. UMMM………… November 3, 2010

Oh here we go YET AGAIN prostituting for CD sells! I wonder if 20/20 is also on deck for a final interview right before the CD drops?

This sounds a mess! I’m wondering when one “scrupulous” person in the media (stop laughing), will finally discuss the fact that a so called “victim” of abuse is on YET ANOTHER track with ‘SERIAL WIFE BEATER’ Eminem?

*Yeah, I know it will happen when PIGS FLY!

  83. Thriller Killer November 3, 2010

come on haters you have to admit this song is beautiful
dead @ some of you using the word falsetto when you dont even know what it means stop following the author of this thread
so far 3 out of 3 songs are good from her new album
Congrats Rihanna on having the #1 and #4 song on Itunes

  84. Keesha November 3, 2010

I actually listened to the lyrics, and I like the song. It’s such a shame that she cannot sing though. I know some people on here think that I hate her, but I don’t, I just wish that she had some talent to back up all of those “hit” singles.

  85. vvvalente November 3, 2010

This stupid blog, and this stupid Trent, shut your mouth dude.

    BEST VERSION
RIHANNA DID IT AGAIN! LIKE ALWAYS

  86. skippy November 3, 2010

@truth you guys want it to be about him. So every time she speaks about a relationship lost its about Chris? Is he the only relationship she ever had? What ego’s you chris brown fans have to think rihanna spends all her time reminising about him. Its just a song, it could pertain to any relationship in this world.

  87. Mishka November 3, 2010

I’m not sure of my opinion. I can’t tell really…

I’ll wait to hear Willow’s cover first.

  88. Dion-ish November 3, 2010

Rihanna Cant Sing…Plzzz Ive Heard Otherwise …BTW not listening to the record until Loud is in my hands….But from what i hear its great. cant wait.

  89. ~aMaZiNG.Lee~ November 3, 2010

    @Dion-ish

WTF was that supposed to prove? Just because that performance wasn’t as excruciating as her other performances, does NOT prove that she can sing. Smh @ you Rihanna stans.

  90. DANA November 3, 2010

    @Skippy

She stated before the song came out that she was going to tell her version. Now you tell what which one of her boyfriends is she not talking about. Part one was about him and now she is telling her part. You just don’t want to believe it because she is saying that she was apart of that incident also. This s*** is propably on this girls mind and it’s been there ever since the incident. But GREED will make you do alot of ugly things. Tell me where is Chris MUGSHOT why are they hidding it? I could see an so can other people that something is bothering her by the way she looks with that sad look on her lying ass face. Now you can say what you want because I see you are evil just like her. But one day this s*** that eating at her ass will come to light I could see it already. I know the truth hurts but it’s there in that DAMN song.

  91. DANA November 3, 2010

correction : Part one was about Em and part 2 is about her

    IM SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ISNT IT A BIT WEIRD THAT EMINEM IS RAPPING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON A RIHANNA SONG????

SOMETHINGS JUST NOT RIGHT….I MEAN FIRSTLY HES RAPPING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SECONDLY ON SOMEONE WHO WAS JUST BADLY BEATEN BY A MAN!!!!
    **********************************

No, your concern should be that EMINEM BEAT HIS WIFE FOR MANY YEARS and now he has 2 MORE songs discussing his ABUSE OF HIS WIFE, KIM MATHERS! Eminem’s been rapping about domestic violence for years! That fact is nothing new! He has several songs discussing KILLING HIS WIFE, CUTTING HER UP AND PLACING HER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA! The problem should be that this MAN IS A SERIAL WIFE BEATER YET THE MEDIA SAYS NOTHING ABOUT HIM & HIS LONG-STANDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HISTORY!

…………But hey, it’ll be a #1 hit so isn’t that what really matters?

Rihanna shld jst shut up btw i can bet my life on it that they not gonna dare make this a single or have the nerve to make a video. Why? It’s pointless. Rihanna is obviously the type that just won’t shut up. shut up and preserve your relationship goddamit. Thats why she got beat in the first place, she just won’t shut her trap up. Anyone whose smart knows that even if they try to work on this relationship again it would still fail because there is too much going on. Two much drama damn not even a good look. They keep making songs cause people wanna hear it trust me so thats why she and chris gonna make them cause trust me chris gonna make his own too saying “Yeah am over you blah blah blah” which i knw is stupid but his gonna make em anywayz cos thats what people wanna hear and am getting tired of it already damn infact they both need to shut up lol

It could be–but Rih’s songs pertain to her relationship which other ppl in the same situation can pull from…stop being in denial…nearly everyone in here can see that its pertains to her relationship with Chris….s*** STEVIE WONDER CAN SEE THAT..SIT!!

  95. Nothing to this November 3, 2010

When will she stop milking the damn incident… I wonder what will happen next year if she release a new cd… Start a interview saying that she jumped to soon in the relationship with Matt Kemp and then it will go into saying that it was because of the horrible relationship that I had with CB, that it didn’t work and I couldn’t give my all in all!!!

People please, Eminem is a white man and get’s a pass, just like Charlie Sheen. But let it be a black man and they will talk about until the Lord come back on that cloud.

god…her voice justs kills me…who really told her she could sing? seriously?

  98. RiRiLOUD November 3, 2010

    @S***
You really should not say that Rihanna can’t sing. That’s completely opinion-based. A better statement would be that YOU think she cannot sing well. Overgeneralizing is a complete fallacy and illogical. Also, Rihanna can’t sing everything but she can sing some things. All artists have their high and low points. I know people who think that Beyonce cannot sing to save her life.

    My opinions:
For example, Beyonce can sing really anything but her contralto is lacking. Katy Perry can’t (like P!nk) take her voice very high – they’re stuck at a contralto range. Ke$ha is…well, you know. And Lady Gaga doesn’t have a great falsetto. And Rihanna does best with her falsetto, well with her soprano but her contralto isn’t even close to good.

Songs like “Te Amo”, “Umbrella”, “What’s My Name” and this fit her voice. Songs like “Only Girl (In the World)” don’t. I just find it extremely funny how people say that she cannot sing at all (overgeneralizations are irritating to me) but that she, only a year ago, was promoting “Russian Roulette” with live performances where she clearly was on pitch and sang well (at least to me).

    @ RiriLoud

You make a good observation. But I’d say that Rihanna sounds “decent” when she picks songs crafted for her specific vocal type and vocal range. Anyone can sound “decent” if the song fits their voice.

That isn’t a person who can “sing” at the level that is expected of a professional entertainer.

  100. RiRiLOUD November 3, 2010

    @AuntieJackie
At the same time, she’s being smart and choosing songs which accentuate her will. Imagine what her image would be like if she tried to make an album of “Only Girl”‘s. And also, some things are incapable. You could train Ke$ha forever but I don’t think she’d ever have an amazingly capable voice.

Haters can go f** themselves …Thats All:)

  102. DANA November 3, 2010

    @BETTE MILDER

YOU ARE RIGHT LOOK AT CHRIS. White take care of theirs you better believe that. So Eminem’s pass is for all Whites only

  103. Blue Kid November 3, 2010

I really don’t see any different between Ke$ha and Rihanna both artist songs are tailored to fit their voices. Why else would they put the two together? Both are studio singers at best.

  104. It’s so obvious! November 4, 2010

@Skippy: Are you really that stupid? Well you obviously are! Of course the song is about CB! (Just like Em’s verse from both songs is about his ex Kim) Who the hell else would it be about?? Did some other dude whip her ass and we just don’t know about it?? Perhaps Matt? Why would she re make ‘that’ song about DV and put it on her album if it wasn’t personal to her??

You heard her right, your lil princess just said in a song, ‘ …but you’ll always be my HERO, even though you lost your mind’. She basically saying she has forgiven him and he will always have a special place in her heart, even though he hurt, literally and figuratively! Face it, if Rihanna wasn’t worried about her career and the backlash from fans and the mainstream media she would still be with him today! She is still in love with him! Matt is just a stand in! “California King Bed’ is about him also! Her music is a way of her expressing herself, but she is not really over it!

She basically admitted in the song (and hinted at it in numerous interviews including 20/20) that it was a volatile relationship on both ends! Listen to it when she says the word ‘masochrist’. That means 1) the deriving of pleasure, or the tendency to derive pleasure, from being humiliated or mistreated, either by another or by oneself.
2). A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences

Rihanna got off on pushing CB’s buttons and getting a rise out of him because she loved the sexual gratification of it later. Listen to CB’s ‘Talk That S***’, I totally believe that song is about her too! They would yell and scream and FIGHT each other and then have crazy make up s** later! She was just as much abusive to CB, it’s just her abuse went unnoticed and got over shadowed by him that night!

Didn’t ya’ll say that ‘Rated R’ was her best album yet?? Well, ya’ll should be thanking CB because he was the inspiration behind her ‘deep and personal album’. Almost every damn song was about him! ‘Cold Case Love’ (love that one), “Stupid In Love’, ‘The Last Song’, ‘ Photographs’, ‘Firebomb’ (that one too, even though she sounded horrible when she performed it live and almost ruined it for me) ‘Russian Roulette’. Hell even ‘Rude Boy’, you know CB was keeping her satisfied in that department!

By the way…still waiting on CB’s mugshot! Almost two years and still no sign of it! Interesting…

  105. Pam November 4, 2010

What the heeezie… Rihanna can have a seat with this bs. and how many times have we heard the story from her side: let’s see there was the 20/20 interview where they were in love but “equally” dangerous to each other, then there was the he made me feel bad and said bad stuff to me, then “i needed that wake call” and now we have “i loved the drama that ‘s what satisfied me”. b**** pls she coulda said that shyt 10 mths ago instead of watching Chris go thru hell and back knowing that she was just as involved in the triflin behavior going on in that relationship as he was. Rihanna is a effin disgrace to women in general but particulaily to the real victims of DV.

@so obvious love your comment cosign 100…especially about Matt she calls him “easy” meaning too damn easy, no challenge whatsoever and boring as hell, she likes drama and living on the edge…hope he last tho.

  106. Pam November 4, 2010

one more thing…I hope Chris has gotten her completely out of his system and truly wants to move on to something better, he deserves better than that spinless troll. I mean what kind of woman would watch her man go thru all he went thru and just sit quiet when you know you are just as responsible. I can agree that yes he went too far and hell maybe he did have a moment of temp. insanity but that’s the chance you take when you open Pandora’s box. Both of them seeing grown folks hit each other growing up should have never went down that road cause sometimes you just don’t know how deep a thing runs.
