In a bid to top the dynamite success of…‘Dynamite’, Brit star ‘Taio Cruz has enlisted Pop royalty, Kylie Minogue, for its follow-up ‘Higher’.

Typical-Taio-Fare. A shame really, considering the potential both the song and video had in light of Ms. Minogue’s addition (she wasn’t featured on the ‘Rokkstar‘ album version of the track).
Yet, what we have in this is yet another generic Electro-Pop cut, with an even less engaging video. Worse still, Kylie’s feature both looked and sounded like it could have been turned in by any random hook singer. Indeed, after hearing and watching this, I was surprised to learn that this wasn’t a case of a label trying to endorse a new artist (Cruz) by cooking up a collabo with an establish act (Minogue); for the pair are signed to completely different imprints!
Whatever the case, this was a missed opportunity. A random flavour-of-the-moment act, Cruz remains…

I agree with the article, Kylie Minogue is my one of my favorite top five artist of all times, and here vocals sounded like any featured pop singer. Also, I enjoyed taio cruz music, and this was not up to par. Thiis could have been a massive hit. Somehow, it underperformed, vocally and creatively. They had the beat, but the magic and chemistry wasn’t there.
