Britney Spears has finally announced the release of her next studio album. The Pop megastar has revealed that she is almost finished with the project and that it will hit stores in March 2011. Spears’ last album, ‘Circus’, was certified platinum in the US and yielded the # smash hit ‘Womanizer’ in 2008.

I don’t have a problem with co-writing and being rightfully credited with it, but there’s no rules as to how much you have to contribute on a song to get a writing credit. So sometimes you have artists who have very little involvement in their songs (I won’t name names, I’ve caused enough damage in this post, lol) that change probably ONE word in a song, and boom, writing credit. See what I mean.
I actually used to be a BIG Britney fan when I was little. Hell, I was practically a stan at one point. Anyone who didn’t like her was a “hater” to me. Then I found out she lip-synced. It doesn’t take much to get sonwriting credits. You can contribute a LOT, you can contribute a little bit, either way it’s enough to earn you a writing credit. So while Britney may be involved in the idea and direction of her songs, and that’s how she (and many others) get writing credit. But that doesn’t mean there is any actual writing done on her part. And like I said, the allegations against Bey has been disproven. It’s just the fact that she has been accused that now there’s a taint on her image because of it. Like being falsely accused of committing a crime, being proven innocent, but having your reputation permanently soiled because of it.

@True Blue, the alegations against B where never disproven just settled out of court AKA Beyonce paid them off. I am perfectly aware of how little artists can comtribute to a song to gain a credit and i know some do it routinely to get more money but since Britney is credited on less tracks than more and nobody has EVER said she didn’t earn them legitamately it seems to me that they are deserved, i’m not saying she wrote half the song but i’m pretty sure she contributed more than B who seems to just slap her name on songs just to get the extra royalties.
It’s not just people filing suit against B but also producers that have and still are working with her have openly said that she doesn’t earn some of the credits she’s given and it isn’t just songwriting either B has been acused of stealing fashion designs and all sorts.

It just amazes me that this gimmick still has many fans. Britney is one of the world’s most untalented performers and singers. She can’t write by herself, she needs a few other people to help her write every single song, she doesn’t produce or make beats (if she’s the executive producer, which is the case with most music artists, all she’s doing is help picking the singles she wants and telling them what sounds good), she doesn’t’ know how to really dance (all she does is some wack stripper choreography and arm and hand motions), and she is very uneducated about the music business. When I watched a documentary of hers when she was showing off her tour room she mentioned how she does not deal with the business side of her career and lets her mom figure all of that stuff out. She’s nothing but a gimmick who gets by on fake beauty, beats, and body. She has recorded some hot song,s with a crappy computerized voice of course, but that’s because of the producers. I would expect her to be gone by now. “Blackout” did horrible (3 million worldwide) and “Circus” (4 million) didn’t do that hot compared to “In The Zone” which sold 10 million copies. Christina flopped so damn hard selling only 500,000 copies of that s***** album “Bionic” worldwide so why should Britney still be able to sell a few million?

the beyonce special you’re referring to is probably promotion prompted by her record company to sell the upcoming dvd so that wouldn’t be considered free promo by the media that britney gets. don’t forget the other sources of britney media hype i mentioned.

i recorded the biography channel when it aired the mariah carey episode 11-28. they claimed she sold 32 million ww of her ‘music box’ album and 40 million ww of ’emancipation of mimi’. i have to admit i haven’t found any such numbers anywhere else but i didn’t just pull those numbers out of my a$$! i still have that show on my dvr.
yes! i know ‘blackout’ has gone platinum! as the two year anniversary approached, hardcore fans were pushing each other, big time, to buy duplicate copies to push it to the 1 million mark!
also, now there is a site where a fan is actually already cranking up hype by encouraging the britney stans to contact all the blogospheres and news media ( i mean they named fox,cnn, msnbc etc) get behind britney!! what’s funny, they will!

the last time i heard, kevin had custody (or at least joint custody) of the kids. she’s not the only female artist who’s a mother so you can put that excuse to rest.
