Jazmine Sullivan Performs On ‘106 & Park’

Published: Friday 3rd Dec 2010 by Sam

Soulful songstress Jazmine Sullivan stopped by BET’s 106 & Park today to promote her new LP ‘Love Me Back’ – which hit stores this week.

Check out Ms. Sullivan’s performances of ’10 Seconds’, ‘Excuse Me‘, and ‘Holding You Down’ below. The J Records star also chatted it up with host Rocsi about her recent Grammy nomination, fears of the dreaded sophomore jinx, and of course the album itself.

All the action after the jump…

Great performances. What was even better  to see, however, was Jazmine finally on TV promoting the album. With ‘Love Me Back’ serving as one of the year’s most quality-filled R&B efforts, it’s promotion to date has been lacking to say the least. Here’s hoping things pick up, as the record does not deserve to go unnoticed. {*Hits ‘play’ on ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’*}

  2. A December 3, 2010

Her voice doesnt sound so good on this performance… not as good and high as in the studio version of 10 seconds

  3. Stacy December 3, 2010

  4. UKkingsman December 3, 2010

AMAZING VOICE, one of the best out there today, its a shame her weight will stand on the way of her talent…..

  6. antertain December 3, 2010

Her album is just so easy on the ear. No need to skip (well the one with Ne-Yo maybe but its still ok enough)

Jaz just has that quality tone no matter what key she singing in.

Be cool is she more promo because I missed the release date.

    Great Job

OMG @ ANTERTAIN, I thought the same thing! LOL! I think it should have just stayed as a leaked song! LOL! But I’m listening to the album now, and I must say, I do like it… I LOVE EXCUSE ME!!! Thats me joint!

  11. Paulie DeStar December 3, 2010

Okay, Erm…..when did being the perfect figure effect great music? So what she is bigger than the other artists today? Jazmine does not get the recognition she fully deserves, ‘Fearless’ was one/and still is one of my fav albums EVER! and ‘Love me back’ is equally AMAZING! this girl can do no wrong in my eyes, (I’m a true fan!) she can be morbidly obese and I’d STILL LOVE HER, as her music, voice and presence speaks a million words.

If y’all haven’t checked out ‘Love me Back’ I suggest u do, as ur missing out. This should chart great, as more and more people know about her now, and I keep spreading the gospel that is Jazmine Sullivan! 

  12. luvmedj December 3, 2010

The album is SO GOOD, much better than the last one. Even though I kno her sales won’t be that great, she’s a great artist who’s VERY underrated. I’m LOVING tracks like Famous, Good Enough and Excuse Me.

  13. delroy December 3, 2010

i agree with half of the people on this page as i think that she is amazing, her music is something that needs to be out there as all the garbage thats out at the moment in my view is very samey and boring. real r&b needs to come back on the table, and kill off this bubble gum s***.

  14. jewelz December 3, 2010

gurl, jazmine is talking to food on this album b/c she ate her emotions.

  15. TheDimplePuppet December 3, 2010

I have it and it’s worth every damn penny. She was snubbed @ last year’s Grammys. See you in 2011 and 2012 Jazzy.

  16. male_madonna December 3, 2010

IM LOVING THE VOCAL!! But her energy is not up 2 par how i like her…..I pray this album does good… PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. f.L.y December 3, 2010

it’s funny how sam says it’s one of the best R&B albums this year but u can do a review of Ciara’s Flop album n NOT this one.. Where’s the “Love Me Back” Album Review?? huh??

  18. Robier December 3, 2010

LOVE HER. SHE BEEN TOURING HARD BUT WE KNOW SHE CAN SING

  19. Tami December 3, 2010

I love Jazmine love her music her voice everything however she needs to lose that weight she’s too young to be that big

  20. myke757 December 3, 2010

My take is this…. you don’t have to be extra thin but damn u gotta wear unflattering clothes? And u knw what the industry is so don’t act like ur prhysical appearance shouldn’t be taken into account.

  21. Baleia December 3, 2010

LOVE LOVE LOVE FOR LOVE ME BACK. Best R&B album of the year. Jazmine has potential to reach Whitney Houston’s status. Don’t make me wait and good enough are irresistible!

  22. Jace December 3, 2010

She’s amazing. Her voice is incredible.

  23. BritniJae December 3, 2010

ima need her to re-up on them background singers. what good do they do if they can’t sing strong enough ? .. oh. | otherwise ! i love jazmine ! she did great !!! woo!

  24. Kyle December 4, 2010

I love how she is sick and is still able to nail these performances. This woman’s voice seriously blows me away and her album is a great follow-up to her debut. I have only been listening to it since Tuesday and I already think that it tops “Fearless.” Jazmine is what the R&B game needs right now. Everyone go out and buy “Love Me Back”!!!!

  25. Dave December 4, 2010

Her album slays, IDK Who talking about ‘quality’, her album is very quality rich. & it’s funny how people are FOCUSING ON HER WEIGHT, when she actually looks good @ that instead of worrying about he music, her as a person, & her performances.

  26. Drew-Shane December 4, 2010

loved the album! I guess they said she’s under the weather but she still sounds decent. I was expect alot more. the album is solid though *turns on Redemption*

  27. Jerseyred December 5, 2010

Jazmine Sullivan is a real talent and whether she is big or not should not take away from her true gifts. This girl has it and it is ashame that she has not blown up like she deserves. Sorry there is no auto tuning going on over there…lol…but unfortunately people rather buy computerized sound then real, genuine music like we had back in the day. There are very very few artists who can get on stage live and sing like the album and be sick and still sound good. I can’t count on one hand ! Nonetheless, every album review I ‘ve read was positive so you go Jazmine!!!! The album rocks! I love it and can’t stop listening to it. All I have to say is let your haters be motivators…..tj

  28. Mylan December 5, 2010

‘Love Me Back’ is the s***. I absolutely love the album, pure R&B! She brings it back. Oh, Jazmine’s voice is beautiful, pure and unique. I hope that the major public will notice ‘Love Me Back’. BUY IT NOW!
