‘Champion’, Chris Brown‘s collaboration with British rapper Chipmunk surfaced a few moments ago.
Featuring the lyrics such as those below, the song is certainly set to have tongues wagging. Brown sings:

We all make mistakes, and althought what Chris did was horrible. I have never turned my back on him, because we all make mistakes and could have been in his position easily. I continue to believe that he will make it to the top of the RnB charts in hit songs and as an artist. I just hope he remembers those who stuck by him when he was down and those who turned their back, because he needs to surround himself with positive people. Cannot wait to see the video. Well, I loved the song the first time I heard it without CB’s verse and I still do! I agree that it might be some controversy with his verse, it’s very ‘real’ and explicit, but I think it adds to the song. Hopefully only the blogs will be the only ones to cover it and it won’t be all over mainstream tearing him apart.
CB’s chorus though is so amazing! That’s the best part of the song IMO! No offense to Chipmunk (I hate his name) but CB definitely made this song! Chipmunks accent is so annoying to me and half the time I honesly can’t understand what he is saying. *shrugs* Still a very powerful record none the less. I hope it is a hit!

Never heard of Chipmunk (not feeling his name) but he did his thing on this track. I am curious to see how well is does in the UK. The US can be crazy. Chipmunks thick accent might be a problem for the US population! I really like this song though. Hopefully a video will soon follow!

I said it was controversial because of CB’s verse. Just because it is ‘fact’ doesn’t mean it can’t be controversial. In it CB is cursin and he makes a reference about being from VA where they ‘hang n*ggas by a rope’ and then him talking about his DV issues with his mother as well. Mainstream isn’t use to him talking like that and it may get some attention because of it!
Just because something is controversial doesn’t mean it isn’t quality material. ‘LTWYL’ was controversial, especially with Eminem and Rih’s past, but it was still a hit record. I guarantee you this song will get some attention because of CB’s verse. Sometimes controversy can sell and I believe it will this record as well.

my problem with this new generation of new artists is the idea that you can call yourself a legend, the king or queen of something, and the fans can give you a title when in reality, the facts don’t support such claims. just like T.I. how can he call himself King of the South, or whatever, how many records has he sold, compare to his counterparts? Like CB, how is he a legend, or History when in fact he has yet to have history making album sells. This is the reason why black music is a joke a this present time. The black artists want to give themselves accolades , titles, self-promotion, when they won’t put forth the effort to make anything ground-breaking, and the fact that their sales are less than stellar, how can they be proud of their sells. It’s actually abymssal, yet we want to congratulate them because they are the new “IT” celebrity. A legend in the making non of these kids are not. And the idea of humility has gone out the window. MJ or Prince never focused on giving themselves titles, they allowed their music and artforms become the focal point of their careers. And that manifested into success. It is disrespectful that Michael always acknowledged that he didn’t considered himself great because those that came before him were the real great ones, such as; James Brown and the Furious Five, Jackie Wilson. Now you have artists who have yet broke any barriers singing about how they are a legend and making history. Or posting billboards that say that are legends. If these artists are legends and making history like they claim, they would have ground breaking record sells, and if they are making history than they would have already surpass MJ, Prince, Madonna, Janet in record sells already. When you can have fanbases from every demographic , not just your age bracket, than you are history and a legend. These little young bucks should fall back giving themselves titles. The world stopped when MJ died, sadly the world won’t stop for these young artists, because there are more like CB, Beyonce, being made everyday. But, MJ can’t be duplicated.

And I’m pretty sure him volunteering at a domestic violence shelter or an anti-domestic violence organization wasn’t the reason why he received probation. I’m pretty sure it was because he was a first time offender.

I understand, I have been working since I was 18, now I’m 22 😆 working and going to college. It’s not easy but I will be getting income taxes back this year, cross fingers, when you single and have no dependents it’s like not much, they like to take than give, that’s why I’m crossing my fingers. I will probably use that to buy my albums and my front row seats. I can’t depend on people, I like to spend money so I keep a job, plus I have my own enterprise on the side that brings in money too.

I knew that Double standard and TheRealNicky were the same people cause something about the way boths their comments kinda made me know that. The only thing different is that he/she didn’t have the caplock on for Double standard comments. This is not the first time he/she got caught being more then one person. Trent called her out on being more then one person and she got mad and tryed to make excuses for what he/she was doing. I hope when F.A.M.E is released every teambreezy/stan/fan buys this man’s album.Chris has worked so hard this past year really on his grind .
