Chris Brown released a new song via Twitter today. ‘Where Do We Go From Here’ is a collaboration with none other than Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull. However, there is no word as on which artist’s new album the song will appear. Give it a listen below:
Brown has clearly been studying Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’ and ‘Dangerous’ albums because his raw belting is quite reminiscent of the King’s work on those records. Such an approve was quite wise as it complemented the heavy Dance synths of the production.
Pitbull handled himself well in the verses but this song would have been better if he only had one interjection and Brown contributed more than just the chorus.

While I am getting a lil sick of this sound, and I am hardly a fan of Pitbull ( I think all his ish sounds the same) I do find the track a bit enjoyable and I can hear the potential in it. And yes, I can hear the MJ influence in CB’s voice. when he says ‘I don’t want to do it alone’ it’s like he is screaming like MJ does sometimes. Lol!
This wouldn’t be typically what I would listen to, but it is a fun party sounding record, it’s something that would get my attention. For some reason it doesn’t seem complete to me though. It seems really short and CB doesn’t really sing much on it? *shrugs* I can’t say that I love right now, but I think it has the potential to grow on me.
I am just more so happy that CB is getting to work with hot producers again. Even though I am not a fan, Pit Bull is a really popular producer right now and it is a good look for CB to be working with him. It seems as if he is going to be working with a lot of hot producers and artist and coming up with a lot of different sounds for F.A.M.E. I can’t wait! 2011 can’t get here soon enough!

Everyone knows their songs, they go xPlatinum on their digital single sales, their albums do decent, they get a lot of radio play….but they are still not “the top”. that “it” factor is still keeping them from being that TOP artist. They’re no Usher, Drake, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, etc. They’re good contenders in the music biz, but Bruno Mars is NOT one of the top male artists.

For all we know, this could have been planned out long before Feb. 9 2009 but had to be put on hold for obvious reasons!
Plus Usher is JB’s mentor and CB and Usher are boys, so I am sure Usher could have encouraged this as well. Yes Justin, is taking a risk at working with CB, but it is a risk that Justin obviously doesn’t mind taking and it will benefit the BOTH of them! Especially if the song is a hit!
Ill admnit, not a fan of Justin by any means ( I don’t like his voice or music) but i’m happy CB is working with him cause it’s a good look for him. A lot of the most recent stuff you have heard from him have been features for other artist albums (Keri, Nelly, Dirty Money) and his mixtape stuff. Besides, ‘Yeah 3x’ we haven’t heard anything (in full) that is going to be on ‘F.A.M.E.’ We still have at least 3 to 4 months for it’s release so how is he about to be ‘burnt out’. For an artist, it’s usually a good thing to have a lot of music out on the charts especially before an album release!
Him releasing music doesn’t neccessarily mean that his focus isn’t on his album. He could be just testing to his fans to see what they react too and what they like so he can decide what sounds to use for the album. Don’t ASSUME that just because he is giving us music that he isn’t focused on his album and making it great!

I know no one knew who he was back then , Justin didn’t blow up until after the ‘incident’ but he had obviously been signed and working on music for some time at that point. I don’t know when Justin was signed, cause I don’t follow him like that, but I am sure he had been signed since 2008 and had probably even met CB before 2009. Since Justin is obviously a fan of CB, Justin could have expressed wishes to work together before the ‘incident’ when CB image was still untarnished! I am not saying they had recorded or even had a song to record, but they very well could have made plans to work together in the future.
