R&B star Chris Brown raised the roof at the 2010 Wildjam festival in California earlier this week. Performing a set consisting of some of his biggest hits (including ‘Run It’, ‘With You’ and ‘Take You Down’), the singer also turned in renditions of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Your Love’ and Willow Smith’s ‘Whip My Hair’.
While I was somewhat baffled at the merging of Brown’s safe/Pop past with his racier present on the set-list (performed in between the above-listed songs were the likes of ‘No BS’ and ‘I Invented Head’), one can’t deny Brown’s ability to work a stage. Just can’t.

Chris Brown always gives an amazing performance, that is why I love him. Sometimes he does sound out of breath, but that is because he is dancing his b*** off. Now, what confuses me is why people who stan for a certain artist who doesn’t dance and yet sounds like a goat on stage think they can talk about anybody, especially someone with talent. It’s funny how the person brought up sales, saying that it’s sad that Chris will never sale more than his ex. That is all they can bring up. Notice they never post a performance of their fave and say that it is better than Chris’ performance. You know why they don’t do that? Because they can search Youtube or any other website that has videos and they still won’t be able to find a good performance from that person. And you want to know why that person has never had a good performance? Because that person has no talent. You see you can’t teach talent, a person has to be born with it. Chris Brown was born with it, his talent is God given. That other person has the right team around her to promote her. They can give her tools to try and help her (voice lessons, dance lessons, performing lessons) but it still doesn’t work, because, like I said, talent cannot be taught. And the sad thing is that the stans of that person will never understand that because we live in a world today where many people don’t care about talent, they even say that you don’t need talent to be in the music industry. You just need to be “nice” and “look good.” I wish another profession, let’s say medicine decided to go that route. Oh, you don’t need to go to medical school, all you need to do is just “look good” and be “nice.” You don’t have to know how to perform a surgery, how to stabilize the patient, just let them die. And you can go on and make all of your money and no one has a problem with that.
So you stans that think that sales mean everything can go on a listen to and buy your lame music that sales now but won’t be remembered in 20 years and I’ll watch performances from talented people who will have performances that will be remembered generations from now.
I know that I keep saying this, but I need to see Chris is concert, I really do. And I cannot wait to hear new music from him. I saw someone, I think it was on twitter say that “F.A.M.E. = no auto tune” and I totally agree. Chris Brown can definitely sing (it is unfortunate that fans and stans of other artists with no talent seem to think that he can’t) and I don’t understand why he is choosing to use auto tune, so hopefully he uses his natural voice that God gave him.
