Meanwhile, ‘Against Me’ occupies the iTunes top spot in over 10 countries.

All I´m gonna say is this: getting a number one on Billboard hot100 is so easy compared with the pre digital era. The proof is she only has 3 #1s and only one is from the predigital era. She still has not achieved it but probably will next week. So she will have 4, being 3 of them in the last 2 or 3 years thanks to digital downloads. And 2 or 3 debuting at number 1. It really has not the merit it had in the past. I just don´t get how all these crap songs keep reaching so easily the #1. This past year (or maybe 2) there have been several songs to debut at #1 while some years ago it was something almost impossible, only achieved for the likes of MJ or Mariah. Wow, #1 in how many countries in 24 hours…pretty good ( even though I don’t really care about placement on charts- doesn’t count for quality of work). Like I said the song will get tons of play in clubs , probably tons of radio play and clearly tons of download. Dancers will be OBSESSED with this song! Really though how many artists can debut a song and in 24 hours or less do they go #1 in that many countries? not many if any right now.
I have read, in past posts, on here from some commentors that Britney wasn’t really an international superstar at least not at the level of others but……..I don’t know about that. Not really a “fan” of Brit but good to see her being embraced by her fanbase, they really are a loyal fanbase that any artist would love to have.
I do have to say I am kinda hopeful for some music that is on the way in 2011, really hoping its good.
