Despite almost unanimous claims that the record bares a striking similarity to Madonna’s ‘Express Yourself’, ‘Born…’ has managed to climb to the #1 spot on the iTunes sales chart in less than 4 hours.
However, it remains to be seen if ‘Born…’ will manage to outperform GaGa’s fellow Pop megastar Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January by selling 411k downloads in its 1st week.
Still, regardless of whoever claims the top honors, there is another female artist with cards left to play…

Why couldn’t this be MY vision? I imagined a 20-ish second intro that had a strong guitar riff and Gaga singing her lungs out. Then, a dance beat would just explode into the song, and not some cheesy 80s dance beat but a GOOD 80s dance beat, and then the bridge would’ve been back to the guitar and then back again. But not these okay vocals, like INSANE vocals.

It’s funny because I’ve been around “monsters” for a while and I kept telling them all that Gaga would F**K up! There wasn’t any doubt in my mind that she would continue dishing out these super hyper, elementary, lame 80’s throwbacks. I knew we’d get this piece of hot trash or something that sounds like Elton John. She is the weakest out the “trinity”. I don’t know how she’s in it, when Bey and Britney has over 10 years under their belt. I didn’t like HIAM, but Britney will deliver something more solid. Gaga is just lost and getting too high to know what sounds like an actual song in the studio. I don’t even like Poker face and Love Game – and any of her hits. Those suck too! She’s getting worse and I feel like that 1st album was as good as it gets with Gaga. People thought I was crazy when I said Rihanna has a better catalog and has contribute more to music. She’s not my favorite obviously and I can say alot of things about her – but NOONE sucks like Gaga! If someone told me that Ke$ha or Gaga might see 10 years in the industry – I’d bet my money on Ke$ha. Listen to her album and compare it to The Fame (don’t listen with a monster mentality either). Ke$ha is far more closer to pop perfection than Gaga! I give her til 2012!… By that summer Gaga will be as relevant as Katy Perry.

I’m not surprised, Gaga’s excellent marketing and gaggle of “little monsters” were going to ensure her success with BTW, at least initially. The song is very similar to Express Yourself but that doesn’t matter to me. The song is ok, I get her vision but I wasn’t a fan of Express Yourself so I’m not going to be in love with this song either.
I want Gaga to continue to be successful because she takes her music “seriously” ( as serious as pop music can be, even though she should make sure not to take herself too serously) , she loves and respects her fans and she clearly LOVES what she does and is willing to work hard to achieve. Is the music industry based on competition or putting out good music. Who cares about Britney and Gaga and comparing her to Beyonce. Take a look at Beyonce’s CV, you will not be able to finish. If I have to compare any artist to Beyonce I will do with the legends, not Britney and Gaga. Still getting awards for an album released two years later? I dare another to do that. Getting to #1 is great but staying at #1 will tell you if your music is worth it. Beyonce doesn’t not need a tweeter a/c nor little monters buying more than they have to to put her at #1. She is pure talent!! Quit the non sense /s*** talk. Beyonce is of perfection that’s why she is the #1 the Queen, and guaranteed her next album will be a success, just like the others. 2500 spins a day cleraly this is another case of Lady PAYOLA, its just so pathetic, even the dj’s of KISS are saying that they will play this tune at the top of every hour all weekend, people have been complaining about the excessive airplay for this song and their response is that they have to play it anyway…. thats shady, why are they pushing Gaga and her gay song so hard? why cant they promote this hard other artists like Rihanna, Katy or Britney when they release new songs? nothing so far makes sense.

Rihanna, Katy, and Britney each get heavy rotation on radio stations. You can’t turn the radio on without hearing their songs. The reason why they are pushing Gaga so hard is because she has garnered much success and popularity in a short period of time so of course they are going to promote her.
