Despite having much of the world rooting for her, Britney Spears proved her naysayers right last night after a shambolic showing at Vegas’ Rain Nightclub.
We previously published short snippets of her much-hyped performance; however, full performances have since emerged – and it has to be seen to be believed.

Stiff, limp, and lifeless, the performance underscored what we here at That Grape Juice have known for the longest. There really is no difference between Britney’s ability today and that which she infamously displayed at at the 2007 MTV VMA’s. None.
I literally felt like splashing engine oil at the screen. She clearly needed it. Robotic walking, aimless arm movements, and shocking lip-syncing (like really, Britney, not even a pre-record?). This is yet another case, point, example of how Spears simply cannot compete in the era of the Beyonce’s, GaGa’s, and even Rihanna‘s (all of who, at the very least, sing live). For goodness sake, the girl sat down during the dance break! Like, really…
I’m all for doing what one loves, yet how viable is that when each time she hits the stage, she takes a huge dump on her legacy. Honestly, I struggle to see the incentive in allowing her to embarrass herself like this. It can’t (or should I say ‘shouldn’t’) be money; the woman’s earnings ensure her generations to come will be financially set. What’s more, she holds records which -thanks to the download era- are unlikely to ever be broken. Put simply, she’s done did it all. Such flaccid showings, however, will only serve to see her remembered as a shell-of-shell-of-a-shell of who she once was.

I think it’s come to a point where you’re just not looking beyond the fact that she doesn’t (and most probably can’t) perform the way she used to. And it frustrates me that all you have for her is negative critique about the fact that her choreography’s not tight etc. Yes, she’s so, very stiff, looks uninspired as heck and, overall, just shows that her heart’s no longer in it. We’ve known this since the start of her “comeback”.
But, does it hurt you to even consider, or even think for a moment, that maybe, just maybe, for the pure and simple reason that she does not want to perform anymore, that it’s not her choice to perform? Yes, everyone makes their own decisions at the end of the day, but who knows what happens behind the scenes? Why the very existence of “Britney Spears the product” (and NOT the performer) is still present? A shred of sympathy could be nice once in a while because up until now, you just seem overly concerned with her getting every move right and hearing her voice. No, she’s not Beyonce or Lady GaGa or even Rihanna. She’s not going to blow your minds away like she used to. And yes, insult and call her out on that all you want, but at the end of the day, Sam (and many others out there), I have to say, that you’re coming off as just, simply, very mean.
I don’t presume to know what goes on in her life, who’s controlling her or if anyone’s even controlling her, but I sense enough to know that all is not well. I think the choreography was good. She just didn’t deliver. She should watch some tapes of Janet or Michael and learn how to own the stage. She looked very stiff and scared to be on stage. I don’t think the routine was too hard for her to execute, she just looked very scared. I think she should have delivered since it was a closed setting and anyone could learn the dance routine and worked it.

it def wasn’t her best there is no denying that. that sad part is, this is the video you decided to post. if you watch the evening in its entirety you also get to watch Spears loosen up so that by the the ending of till the world ends you get to see her killing her routine. The largest problem with this routine is the choreographer putting tighter mor intense dance routines around ms. spears while leaving her with a half ass routine. its going to obviously look much worst. Not to mentiion ms. spears not being up to par.

Watched the video and it’s better than some performances she’s done lately but nowhere near where she was at. I don’t think her age or superold knee injury have anything to do with it. I know plenty of Dancers older than her that still serve it and her knee surgery was so long ago ( pre s**** for you, pre stronger video).
I think she’s uncomfortable and is maybe a little over the grind of being Britney Spears. Hope she finds the love for it again or just retires. Anyway, her leotard was fantastic and sparkly, and the wind machine effect for her non- dance dance break was a nice touch. Maybe she’ll get better but the performance was NOT horrible! The way depression meds work is that the almost absolutely nutralise the persons personality. In order to control the extremes they make it so that your never too happy or never too sad. It takes years and a reduction in meds for you to ever see signs of the character you were before meds.
