Released as the 2nd single from his debut album, ‘Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite’, ‘Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)’ was the 1st of many hits for the falsetto master, peaking at #8 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #28 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This song is a true classic of 90s R&B and still enjoys consistent airplay (even here in Trinidad). Maxwell is definitely one of the best singers (male or female) that the industry has seen in a long time and what is most impressive is the fact that his vocal prowess has only gotten better.

Love Maxwell. I saw his tour with Jill Scott, and this was the encore song before “Pretty Wings”. He had the entire STAPLES Center singing the words. It was such a magical moment. Ah, memories…
