Keri Hilson’s video for ‘One Night Stand’ has been released. The Colin Tilley-directed clip for the 90s-inspired R&B track features none other than Chris Brown. Check out the visual below:
Questionable wardrobe choices aside, this video was actually enjoyable, particularly because of the dance routines. In fact, there were similarities between their moves and those of Brown’s electrifying collaboration with Ciara at the 2008 BET Awards.
Perhaps the best facet of this clip was that they kept the overt sexual antics to a minimum. The last thing that Hilson needs at this stage is a sequel to the pelvic thrusting behaviour of her ‘The Way You Love Me (Ft. Rick Ross)’ video. I’m still getting nightmares.

Keri is soo not the best dancer, she looks so stiff and awkward sometimes, but she was keeping up with Chris pretty well at the end. IMO. People on twitter were dogging her, my TL was cracking me the hell up! People were saying she was trying to be Ciara and that CiCi would have done a better job. SMH! Ciara stans really can’t stand Keri. I think Keri did a good job considering she is not the best dancer. She gets props from me for being able to keep up with CB cause we knows he shows off.
However…I did find Keri’s two toned wig to be quite disturbing! It wasn’t the best look at all. Long hair is not flattering on her. And Chris was looking like a tall light skinned Sisco with that blonde hair! LMAOOOOO! But he was still getting it and he looked too cute! Very s*** video and I am proud of the video.

This is exactly the type of music that Ms. Hilson needs to stick to making from now on. Tracks like this, ‘Intuition’, ‘Alienated’ and ‘Tell Him The Truth’ from her first record are definately her schtick…sensual midtempos with that Aaliyah-esque, 90’s R&B sort-of flavor. It suits her so well and it’s so different to what everyone else is doing these days in that it’s actual R&B…not electropop masquerading under the name of R&B.
The video was cool to. Not sure about that two-tone mess on her head but the clip in itself was verrryyy nice…this is where Keri needs to be. Clothes firmly on, hands above her waistline and exuding quiet sensuality instead of the overt sexuality of that last hot mess of a video…Good work, Ms. Hilson!
I hope everyone bought Fame are promoting with friends and family to buy Fame. I think they may try to take our boy #1 album spot by releasing an allstar digital album today on Itunes for Japan, which feature, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga. They could’ve waited until next week, but to release at the end of the week, side eye.
