Vocal powerhouse Alexandra Burke lived up to her billing at the 2011 Children’s Champion Awards. The chart-topper took centre-stage at the event, which aired last night, to perform a soaring rendition of ‘The Silence’.

In other Alex news, sources close to her camp confirm that recording for her second studio album is well under-way. The LP, the follow-up to her Platinum selling debut ‘Overcome’, is set to hit stores later this year.

I don’t think so! I honestly don’t think she will do well here in the states! But who knows it worked for LEONA but she quickly fell off. Anywho not a big fan of Alexandra but it was a nice performance.

I love the UK music scene with all my heart. I love how diverse they are. But jesus no!!!!This is nothing special. I hope she doesn’t try to come to the Us. We already have a market saturated with nameless singers. We don’t need any more. Especially a another half ass singer from the Uk

The vocals were on point Alex has the advantage that she is an all rounder she can sing uptempo and ballads and is a great performer live-she will do well in the US.
