She looks GREAT. But she’s still not dancing, people are dancing around her. Is she hurt? I really want to know what’s going on with her. There’s a problem–and it’s more serious than some stupid f****** stan war where people come on the thread to bash her “stiff” dancing. She isn’t stiff, it’s almost as if she can’t move certain parts of her body in certain ways.
As a Britney fan that has been following Britney for YEARS, it seems like the passion is there when she is rehearsing (look at her videos performing Manniquen and Circus while rehearsing) but she doesn’t bring that passion when it comes to live showing and I bet you in that clip she DOESN’T HAVE ON HEELS!!!!!

Beyonce & her team aren’t scared that Girls will flop. She wants to keep pushing it. Beyonce’s label is. Beyonce & her team (Kim Burse, her mgmt, etc) & Beyonce’s label are different entities.
Someone on BW said Martian was semi-true about the rumor you just stated… this is the person that leaked LQ snippt of Girls… Considering he gets his stuff from Sony (the label) and not Kim Burse or Beyonce herslef, but the idea that a label doesn’t like putting out a risky single and wants to put another on the backburner (a single with more ensured success) is not far-fetched. That’s like Marketing 101 which is what most label execs probably still operate on. Like I said, look at the DIL example. CIL was a risky choice.
Also, the fact that her single didn’t debut @ #1 (despite no promo). You think the label doesn’t look at the other girls & hope she has that insta-microwave success? You think the label doesn’t look @”Girls” sliding down iChunes and think of putting Beyonce in a studio to record a Europop single? I mean, it’s just logic. Labels think as simple as the 14-year old girls on here but I’m glad Beyonce isn’t a puppet. So Beyonce isn’t & won’t go through with what the label says but that doesn’t make some of this any less true or believable that the label is scared.

@ Anthony, I have always enjoyed Britney’s music, particularly “Circus”–love that album. I like Blackout as well. However, let’s not be hyperbolic and call that album potentially our generation’s “Thriller.” That is just silly. “Blackout” is no where the near that iconic status of Thriller (even if she were at her peak of performance) and there is no need to try to attempt to elevate Britney to that status. Remember, Michael really UNDERSTOOD music– we cannot honestly say that about Britney.
In terms of Beyonce, she is a full out entertainer who has NO PEER in the pop world today– she is the finest. This is regardless of the fact that I do not love her new single. As I’ve already said, I never like Beyonce’s lead singles: never (except CIL).
If you prefer Britney’s music–great. I enjoy it as well. However, Beyonce is in totally different realm than Britney– one she is simply incapable of entering. Regardless of what Britney has sold, where she is on the charts, what her tours have grossed, etc…Beyonce is beyond her. I am not slighting Britney here–just being honest.

Beyonce and her team strongly support “Girls”, but her label knows that the public doesn’t adore it, and, since she’s hell bent on a late June release, they don’t want to risk any more time with it. Therefore, they’re pushing to release a new single (which, I’ll Slay a B****, was described as urban, not the europop song you were quick to label it as), so that they can release the album when she wants.
I don’t know if it’s true and in fact, no one does, but like Anthony the Great stated, Martian gets his information from Sony, and he spread this around as far as I know. Therefore, Sony seems to want to release a new single whereas Beyonce is probably ready to push “Girls”. That said, Sony has the ultimate power. Though Beyonce and her team can fight, kick, and scream to promote “Girls” and release its video, at the end of the day, it’s Sony that gets to decide whether or not plans for “Girls” go ahead. They may allow Beyonce to begin promoting it and maintain its position as the album’s lead single, as she is valuable to them and they trust her enough, but they may also think like a label and not empathetically and realize that releasing a new single could be in the best interest in the long run.
I personally would prefer a new single. “Girls” is receiving negativity from Beyonce haters, non-fans, fans, and stans from all over. It’s a song that is starting to grow on some but is still disliked by many, and, if not disliked, is considered below Beyonce’s capability. Though “Until the End of Time” may not be released, we do know that the song is described as being uptempo, urban, and radio-friendly. Of course Sony wants to release that instead of the risky, left-field, and not radio-friendly “Girls”. It’ll be interesting to see how this all turns out, but I’m willing to bet that Sony will pull the plug on “Girls” and release a new single around the second or third week of May.
And Kavion, I know you love to use WYT as an example, but stick to “Massive Attack”, LOL. WYT was out for a few days before “Russian Roulette”. As far as we know, “Russian Roulette” was always intended to be released as the album’s lead single. I personally agree with you and speculate that WYT was due to be the lead single from the album but was met with such mixed-negative reception in its first few days of release that they rush-released RR. But, just for your security, don’t say that. Some people disagree, LOL. It would explain, though, why the RR video wasn’t filmed until the end of October…

But at the end of the day, Beyonce’s label isn’t making decisions, IT IS BEYONCE. The only thing the label is responsible for is Financing. They could cut off financing, but Bey could always pay for it herself (ex: B-Day Deluxe Edition, Video Anthology, Beyonce Experience DVD, were all payed for bY Beyonce).
Another Example,
Sony wanted Beyonce to release “Naughty Girl” as the first single instead CIL because it was to risky. But Beyonce had the final say. They even went as far as saying that DIL didn’t have one hit but Beyonce(reference: I Am..YOurs).

I have been hearing news about a new single being released in addition to RTW for a while now. From what I understand it will see the light of day in Mid May and that the current single’s performance is still being watched. Long story short, Bey will likely promote both songs!

I like RTW as a lead single. People question Bey’s decisions because she didn’t realease something generic that would have been a microwaveable hit. I love that Bey takes risk. I love that the song doesn’t sound like anything else on the radio. I am proud of Bey for that, so I personally don’t want this single to end up abandoned. Plus, I’m waiting to see how many people start praising it once it becomes the hit we’re waiting for it to be(there’s about 2 Bey “stans” that I’m still trying to figure out. They seem to really be more about putting her down than anything else … and it’s certainly not Kavion – I do believe some people just change their minds about the song when it grows on you)

Someone plz tell Britney that high heels dont do her justice plz dont wear heels on stage you rehearse in flats and sweats then you come on stage in heels Beyonce has been rehearsing in high heels for along ass time then she bust out on stage wearing them because she rehearse in them britney does not so why the heels i dont care about the singing just stop wearing high heels on stage i want Britney to feel comfortable I keep defending britney but she isnt making it easy plz no heels during the tour yes femme fatale is suppose to be s*** but their are alot of s*** shoes that doesnt have heels
