I agree that they were both quite successful here in the US, but they still weren’t massive successes. “Yeah 3x” was definitely a massive success in Australia though.

Damn! I swear i agree with everything you say! People keep shading Justin, but I think his vocals on ‘Next to You’ were really impressive. Although, I do think that CB carries that record you can definitely hear how JB voice has changed and is maturing. You can barely tell the difference between the two when I was NEVER a fan of JB, but I will give him his props! ‘Next to You’ is a great record and the lyrics are beautiful, a bit cheesy though, but once it is officially released I am sure it will do well!

I think All Back would actually do well on the charts. You guys are acting like ballads automatically flop these days, that’s not true. F***** Perfect, Grenade, and Halo, to name a few, have done extremely well in the mainstream market.

I LOVE ‘All Back’ its my FAV song on the album. It’s a beautiful record that showcases his vocals and has great lyrics! I think it is Grammy material. I would love to have it as a single, but I’m skeptical as to how it will do on the charts, yes some ballads d perform well such as ‘Halo’, and ‘Grenade’ but if you notice the beats on those records are uptempo and the bass in the songs is heavy. Plus he releasing ‘Next To You’ as his pop ballad, and I can’t see him releasing two pop ballads back to back. *shrugs*
But who really knows! I think he has so many potential singles and I just don’t know what he is going to go with. *shrugs*

I think the reason LAMN did well because it is a hip hop song and most rap songs do better than R & B songs in crossing over to mainstream. Billboard go by sales and radio spins. LAMN is huge in the urban community and it easily crossed over within two 1/2 months. LAMN is platinum after 3 months released. Yeah 3x didn’t reach top 10 because it was one of Chris first pop release from the album and most of Chris fans were working hard to get the pop station and top 40 station to play that song. There were still station refusing to play his music. When I went to some of the top 40 radio station playlist, they didn’t even have his song listed. By the time LAMN came out most radio stations were lifting the ban and playing his songs. So now that Chris has crossed over to mainstream with the thanks to LAMN, maybe some of the station that was banning him will pick up his songs when released. Plus some of the urban fans wasn’t feeling Yeah 3x so most of the downloads were from die hard Chris fans and some pop fans.

I say Chris Album is doing better than most artist who released albums over the past two years, especially with all the negativity press he received around his album release and he is still doing great with his album. Some of the top stars has been on so many shows to promote their album and Chris is still right there with some of the top artist when he only promoted his album on SNL, 106, GMA, DWTS. Since the release of Fame Chris hasn’t appeared on no shows. Most Artist do heavy promo after release of their album. Plus he is finally crossing over to mainstream again. Most Top artist gets their songs played right away when it is released. If Chris didn’t have some of the pop stations and top 40 banning him and if he did major promo like Rihanna, wow can you imagine how great Fame would’ve done when released and after released. We would’ve seen amazing numbers.

She should be double platinum by now.

I agree with LAMN. I was not expecting that single to do so well. I was thinking the other way around where Yeah 3x would chart like LAMN and LAMN would chart like Yeah 3x. Idk. I guess it’s because pop takes over everything these days but Chris has been good with being one of the only artist to be good with topping charts with Urban songs. Wiz has been pretty good with it too but R&B Singer wise he is pretty much one of the only ones.

Who cares about the cover? “She Aint You” will be big! All the radio stations, including the POP ones, were playing it when his album debuted! That’s one of my favorite songs on the album. It usually sucks when artists re create another artists’ song or sample his/her beat, but Chris did his thing on this track. I can’t wait until it is released.
