After being under the radar for over a year, Mary J. Blige is ready to return to the music scene. However, the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul is gearing up to challenge her Pop music counterparts not with cliche Dance beats but with the classic sounds of Mary J.
Expected to arrive in stores on September 20th, ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues’ serves as the sequel to her iconic 1994 LP, ‘My Life’. The record will entail contributions from Johnta, Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Danja, Stargate, Johnta Austin and others.

I always had a love/hate relationship with Mary’s music. I love some of her records (‘The Breakthrough’) and on the other hand I just can’t get into other projects (‘My Life’). Her last album ‘Stronger With Each Tear’ was very weak, because there were actually more Pop songs than R&B. This song is completely different. Very very old school, that’s the type of songs which have to grow on me. I’ll see. I just want another ‘Breakthrough’!!!!
