The nominees for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards have been announced! Selected with regards to their performance on the Billboard charts during the period of February 28th 2010 to March 1st, the list of contenders is lead by the world’s most famous marketing ploy, Rihanna.
Nabbing 18 nominations, the earsore has even outpaced Eminem and Lady GaGa who earned 16 and 12 nods, respectively. Tune in to ABC on May 22nd at 8pm to see who walks away with the most trophies.

While rihanna may have many # 1s thanks to her multiple collaborations n her team, gaga wrote n cowrote all the songs that helped her get a nomination. At the end of the day gaga remains the best selling artist in digital history. At the end of the day gaga is the only one artist to have two songs selling over 5millions downloads (just dance n poker face). Bad romance will reach that bar pretty soon. While rude boy remained number1 for 5 weeks n bad romance for only 1 or 2weeks, the best sellin song is by far bad romance. So the goat navy dont get too much excited. Rihanna cant sing live. She had to cancel many dates. Her last album flopped n the list goes on.

Wow at them screwing Chris over for R&B Nominations. I know damn well if Trey Songz is nominated he should be. Because off of Deuces alone last year he dominated almost everything R&B on THEIR CHARTS. I’m pretty much used to Award Shows shading Chris at this point so oh well. 9/10 he wasn’t going to go anyway, he always avoids Award shows and I can’t say I blame him.

The winners WILL be the artists with the fanbases who pride themselves on buying their FAVES Number 1 song after Number 1 song. They had a category for Best Dance Videos or whatever and since it was for videos ICTY would have been perfect for that category. Than this?! 18 noms isn’t slaying. 18 WINS would be considered “slaying”, I guess. I’m just not the type to over-exaggerate everything. If I’m a fan of a person and they win or get nominated for an award, I’ll congratulate them (sometimes at least) and I’ll be happy for them for the moment, but it isn’t like it makes my life or anything. Whether or not an artist wins an award doesn’t affect how I feel about their music and their artistry, so when others act like it’s everything and they use words like “slaying” or “epic” it really confuses me.

Atleast someone understands that when nominating people for Top R&B Songs and Top R&B Artist he must defiently should have been nominated. Step your cookies up and know what your talking about. If that’s the case Wiz Khalfia would have outsold him way more than 8k.

You need to quite when you know damn well X,Y, and Z already ran the stats down for you in a previous post regarding both Chris and RiHOG’s 3rd week status! Let me see if I can recall his post! At the 3rd week mark Chris has 428k while the GRASS GRAZER had 410k (approximately, you can go back and re-read the information)! Its funny because she was on every national amd international TV and radio program, had nothing but favorable press, & sympathy up the hair ass, yet she moved less units than Chris at the same point in time!…Hummm, interesting huh? 🙂

I know this LUNATIC is not still harping on iTUNES….lol these fools act as if an iTUNE chart is the end all and be all! Chris’ sells come from OTC not setting on your ass pointing and clicking. Any record label can have a team of ppl doing that *cough* DefScam! iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody etc are good for single sells but lets be honest after the 1st week few ppl are running to purchase a CD on line. They usually go to cop singles and then go to the store to purchase hard copies of CDs!

I wasn’t saying that they buy the same song over and over, I was just saying that a lot of people bought their singles and requested them on the radio, but not as many people bought the album. I mean, I don’t find it funny that their albums didn’t sell, what I find funny is the fact that a lot of Rih’s fans/stans try to validate her stardom by her #’s and stats and they claim that she is slaying and she’s not even nominated for the BB Top 200 at the BB awards.
And I would try to clear up one of my earlier comments (again that is), but I guess if people can’t read and want to think that I’m pressed over some BB award nominations, then so be it.
