“Swagger-jacking” is an immature, unintelligent, and uneducated term to use. Nicki is influenced by Kim, yes, but Kim did not invent the color pink nor did she invent wigs. Nicki is similar to Kim but not the same image-wise, and in no other way. You must have a brain hemorrhage if you don’t realize this.
I think she looks cute in the video sneak peak. I like the song too! But to say the similarity between Lil Kim’s No Matter What People Say isn’t obvious you’d be delusional. Not to say there is a problem with it. There is always someone who did it before you. In my opinion I’m over the “so and so is swagger jacking this person” because unless you the one to set the standards or pave the way for these other artist to come people are always going to pick at you. People are always waiting to say something about Nicki.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but Nicki is hella fake. I know, because I was once in your boat of thinking that Kim was just hating through jealousy.
All you need to do to see it yourself is do some research. Look at Nicki before she went mainstream, look at her manner, the way she spoke, the things she said, her whole attitude. Look at the beats she decided to use, out of all the beats in the world.
Nicki was extremely heavily influenced by Kim. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I would expect most female rappers to be influenced by Kim: she is one of the first and most iconic female rappers to do it. However, there is a point where a fan must become an artist, and by that, I mean take their influences and turn it into something new. I believe Nicki fails to do that and that is why she is so reluctant to acknowledge that Kim still exists and influenced her, which is pretty much what the whole “Nicki VS. Lil Kim” saga is all about.
Nicki, stop letting the white people influence you. U know damn well that this song was not worthy of a single. Oh, but Taylor and Selena sung it and you made your desperate trip to the white side of the world.

What everyone is failing to take into consideration while they blindly stomp all over their keyboards with the caps-lock on is this: Nicki is not just the product of her own mind, but of dozens of other people aiding her in her projects. Inspiration can come from wherever you would like it to come from, and there is nothing wrong with admiring someone; or even bringing something back from the past. Face it, everything has been done multiple times before, and you are all a product of what surrounds you just as the artists in the music industry are.
As for the rivalry between Nicki and Kim, it has been taken completely out of hand. Kim is obviously using Nicki’s name to regain spotlight. Either way through her album/her hating; Nicki has gotten more publicity than ever. Look at all the people bashing on Nicki watching this video. She is obviously not completely irrelevant to you seeing as you need to listen to her music/ watch her videos to hate on her.
