Akon has been conquering the club scene for years and it doesn’t look like he will be slowing down anytime soon. The hitmaker has teamed up with Chris Brown and producer Polow Da Don for ‘Take It Down Low’, the latetst release from his ‘Stadium’ album (in stores September 13th).

The production on the track follows in the vein of several of the major Hip-Hop hits on the radio today (Chris Brown’s ‘Look At Me Now’, Lil Wayne’s ‘6 Foot 7 Foot’) – busy and bass-heavy. However, if Akon was aiming to get a song that will rock the clubs as well as radio then he definitely achieved that goal.

Anywho, heard this last night, hated it! I can’t stand Akon’s voice & I really don’t see how he has been this successful with that voice. It just irks the s*** out of me & he sounds the same on every damn song! He may be a hot producer & have a lot of hits under his belt but I am so not a fan & this certainly did not help! I guess he’ll always be set since he’s making money off of Gaga though. He could probably give a damn what people think! *shrugs*
As for CB as long as he is rapping I 9/10 will not co-sign, especially if all he’s gonna rap about is money & strippers. He didn’t add anything to the song & his verse was so random like they just added his part in just to say it was featuring him. Overall, the song was a HAM to me, well the beat did go hard but that’s about it. Polow usually delivers with the beats. It seems like every one wants to work with Chris cause he’s hot now but that doesn’t mean it will be a hit. If Akon releases this as a single & it does become a hit I’ll be shocked, but then again with the s*** that becomes a hit these days nothing really surprises me anymore. *shrugs*

I actually like this song. A great club songs. I go to club alot so I know whats hot in the urban clubs. Everyone hated LAMN and its selling better than all Chris singles. I loved LAMN from the beginning. I think most of Chris fans are used to bubble gum and love songs from him and can’t adjust to the urban songs. But Chris is targeting the urban community and most songs that does well are s**, rap, breakup songs. Keisha Cole said it herself on 106 Park, that love songs don’t do as well as Break up songs and songs with drama, or party songs. So keisha going back to what made her big in the beginning.
It’s great for the clubs, its very current. I kinda like it. But certain parts, like the take it do wn “break down” before CB’s part needs to be removed.
I don’t like that robotic sounding “take it down” at all.
It’s a grower though. It’ll be a hit cuz it’s fun like other current radio hits. Still need more real music out her though.

Chris was the only part that I was here for, but even his part was bad, in my opinion. I don’t understand this. I know that people want to make fun songs or club hits, but why not make a really good song that’s fun? It seems like what’s considered a fun song these days is auto – tuned garbage (lyrically) with a “nice beat”, and most of the time, the beats suck, especially with these dance – pop/techno songs.

His Grammy nominations PROVE that he has produced quality material when it comes to his music so doing a fun party record with no substance, like 90% of artist in the industry do now a days to get a hit including YOUR fave, is NOT a big deal!
Second of all, Chris works with his friends a lot and YES T-Pain & JB are his FRIENDS!! Just because you don’t see them together all the time doesn’t mean they aren’t friends! JB and T-Pain have their own lives and careers to focus on! They can’t be stuck under Chris all the time and vice versa!
So how do you explain Justin putting Chris on his remix album?!?! Is JB desperate too?? Justin isn’t in any position where he would ‘need’ to work with Chris for some attention! He put Chris on his album cause they are FRIENDS and he wanted to work with him! With all the trouble that CB has been in why would JB & his team risk possible backlash by working with Chris if he wasn’t a genuine friend to Chris?? JB was the one who announced their collaboration on twitter first. Usher and CB are boys so Usher probably encouraged JB to do the record with CB since Usher is JB’s mentor. Why the f*** would Usher allow his protege to work with Chris if he didn’t genuinely have a good relationship with Chris?!?! That doesn’t make any damn sense!!!

T-Pain and CB have been friends for a minute! That’s one of his closest friends in the industry! They have collaborated several times before and AFTER the incident! Agreed! Except, I didn’t say he ‘couldn’t’ rap, it’s his choice, I just perfer it when he sings and I think he is rapping too much now a days. He has a nice flow at times, and I could tolerate his rapping on the mixtapes, but IMO his lyrics are all weak. When he raps he usally doesn’t add anything to the song. The She Ain’t You video will be life! Overall i enjoyed every track on F.A.M.E. it’s a great album but so far I think She Ain’t You is one of my favorite single because it’s just perfect. It’s good for pop and r&B kind of. It’s not too slow or too upbeat.
