British teen wonder Dionne Bromfield serves up a soulful slice of brilliance with her latest single ‘Foolin”.
A sound follow-up to the songbird’s last effort ‘Yeah Right’ (which drummed up quite a buzz back in March), ‘Foolin” once again places the 15 year old in the thick of what’s ‘hot’, while also helping her carve out her own lane in the midst of the Electro-Pop heavy charts.

She can sing but really…she ain’t going anywhere…I mean if Willow Smith who has the power of the name Smith behind her seems to be fading into obscurity what hope does this chick have?

@KD, you are right even though she can sing, it unfortunately isn’t enough. However, if she was a white singer like Adele with all the mainstream media behind her harping on about her being the next coming in singing, she may have had more of a chance. Just saying it like it is.

Agreed…While I think black (as well as all other races) is beautiful I do think that sometimes being black is a curse. Black people just never get the appreciation that white people do which I guess is the reason behind black self-hate; that’s why I support all black artists and give major props to artists like Bey, Rih, Alicia, Jennifer Hud etc. that are doing big things (even though I may not personally listen to some of them).

What label is she on? Is she still on Amy Winehouse’s own label? Mayb that’s the problem…, everyone kind of knows who Dionne Bromfield is through her association with Amy but she’s being promoted with an Independent’s budget. Apart from the time she was on Strictly, I only ever see her promoted on TGJ…., as for Willow Smith, she’s a lucky child but she’s not particularly talented now is she, maybe that’s why she’s struggling.
Her voice sounds too much like an Amy Winehouse impersonation and her “look” is too mature for 15. If someone starts over with her sound she may have a chance.

thought the vid was cute and was luving the attitude she was giving while rocking the chignon. wouldn’t say she was acting too grown-just kindof like she was playing dressup or something.
